Having recently celebrated the end of our first year in the garden, Gardening club is growing - and the plants are too! 🪴

We've been delighted to have new members joining us and we've received our Level 3 award from the Royal Horticultural Society. 👏

Our next step is growing and gardening with wildlife. We've updated our pond, with huge thanks to Mrs Malton's Mum for her kind donation of the pond and surround, and Mr Speiss for his hard work to help set it up. The new plants around the pond are another kind donation and have been carefully placed by our Year 10s to create shade and spaces for wildlife. We now want the rain to fill it up and hope our fountain will start to work again soon. 🌧️

🪴 Meanwhile, the Year 8s have been on watering duty, and have planted up strawberries 🍓 and more seed potatoes 🥔(another kind donation from a green-fingered Year 11).

🐌 Year 7 are our chief snail rescuers, but Year 9 have yet to represent themselves, it's not too late to join us!

🌱 Our next step is to lay w**d membrane so that we can update our paths and have clearer walkways, and we are very excited to have had a pledge of woodchip from a local landscaper. 🙏

⭐️ As always, any donations are greatly received, especially of soil or if any of our community are able to help us with some raised beds. ⭐️

⭐️ It was the turn of Year 8 today for our Litter Picking Competition.

⭐️ This time last week, a group of students were lucky to go to Exeter College to experience a taste of the Hair and Beauty course.

They not only represented Isca incredibly well, but they also had the opportunity to learn a little bit about life beyond secondary school. ✨

⚽ Year 11 Leavers’ Game 2026 ⚽

A fantastic way to sign off their school football journey as our Year 11 boys took on Year 10 in the annual Leavers’ Game.

The Year 11s came out on top with a convincing 3-0 victory, with goals from Harry (1) and Charlie (2) securing the win. 👏⚽

It was great to see so many of the lads back out on the pitch, enjoying one final game together and creating lasting memories. 🫶

⚽️ On behalf of the PE Department, we wish every one of them the very best for the future and look forward to hearing about their successes in the years ahead.
