It’s been too long since my last roundup 📸 and I’m sure you’ve all been waiting to see what I’ve been up too .. it’s been a busy time here in Guild Land

🗳 We had our elections - I’m so excited about the new officer team coming into post in July (and excitingly our wonderful VP liberation and equality will be remaining in the team and leading the President role!). Well done to everyone is involved, and I know we will be leaving the Guild in great hands next year 💟

NUS Conference - head to to watch the reel of what we got up to here - think big national policy making 🌍

🍾 Guild Awards - celebrating all our incredible student groups. I sat with .exeter - thanks so much for being such great company throughout the evening

🏗 I was lucky enough to travel to Boston for an international conference - the main aim here was around some really exciting projects which focus on our physical spaces (a LinkedIn post telling you more about this is coming soon ✍️)

🖥 I met up with an alumnae from when she was helping run a hackathon with and - it was great to see what our students are doing out in the world, and what our students are up to here in Exeter

💐 finally, a little reminder that in between all the studying and writing and working that you’re up to over the spring break, remember to look after your well-being and take some time for yourself too ❤️

The Lunar New Year Celebrations in the Forum! It was great to be shown around all the stalls and be part of celebrating the start of the New Year.

This Friday there is a New Year Gala in the Northcott Theatre, it’ll be a fantastic evening, celebrating the year of the Rabbit! There are still tickets 🎫 available - check the link in my bio.

A huge well done to all the students involved in the organising of these amazing events!

A few photos from last week! It was a great one 🎉

Jack and I went to the theatre to watch a production put on by - it was fantastic!! Make sure to give their page a follow and watch out for upcoming shows. 🎭

Jack and I also attended the Undergraduate Research Showcase organised by Amelia from - congratulations to all of the incredible students involved, we learnt a lot. 👨🏾‍🔬📈

I’ve been working on some Well-being initiative, including a business card that could help you or a friend find the information and support needed. 🤲🏻❤️

Finally, I headed down to Falmouth for the weekend and popped into our Penryn campus on the way (and got some inspo from their matchbox). 🌊

We’re back! Your Students’ Guild is back open from today - we’re here to help you with whatever you need, so please reach out.

I hope you had a restful break and are feeling ready for this term, but I also know that the beginning of Term 1 can be quite overwhelming, it’s ok if you’re feeling like that! We will be posting tips and tricks around assignments and exams - so watch out for those. If you need support with mitigation, personal circumstances, finances, or something else then you can book an advice appointment (available from Monday 9th- check my linktree for the link)

Good luck with revision, writing and completion of any work you’re doing. Remember to take breaks and my go to self reminder is ‘done is better then perfect’. You’ve got this 🤓

This time of year isn’t merry for everyone, so I hope those of you that may be finding this time difficult are able to find some space to relax and to just get through. Whether you celebrate Christmas or not, there can be a lot of challenges with this time of year. Know that you’re not alone and this too shall pass, and the days are already getting longer. Be kind to yourself and if you’re able to, look out for others too. If you need support please reach out - people want to help you 💙

I am now out of office (so wont be responding to social media or emails) until January 3rd. If you need support please follow the links in my linktree.

I look forward to seeing you in the new year and seeing what it may bring.

This week we had a lot of focus on safety!
