Year 4 have had a fantastic day on their residential! 🎉 They enjoyed a wide range of activities, tucked into some lovely food, and had a great night’s sleep. 😊 They’re up and ready to make even more wonderful memories today🌟

Magpies have been busy exploring photography as part of their art learning. It has been wonderful to see their creativity shine!
They’ve been learning how to use cameras, think carefully about what to capture, and experiment with different angles, lighting, and perspectives. They loved it!

All the children have had a fantastic night’s sleep and woke up ready for another jam-packed day of fun! 😄
Today’s adventure… a bike ride in the rain! ☔️🚲 And yes, they are absolutely loving it – making the most of every moment and creating brilliant memories together.
We’re now all packed up and ready to head home after an amazing residential. We can’t wait to see you all soon! 🏡✨

🌄 Residential Update 🌄
Today started off brilliantly with a delicious cooked breakfast to fuel the day, followed by an exciting session on the high ropes! 🍳💪
All the children have shown fantastic ambition and determination—it's been wonderful to see them stepping out of their comfort zones and encouraging one another. 👏✨
Next up, we’re looking forward to some grass sledging and tackling the climbing wall—let the adventure continue! 🛷🧗‍♂️

🌟 Year 6 Residential Update 🌟
Yesterday, on their first day, Year 6 had a fantastic start! From a fun (and chilly!) gorge scramble 🌊 to a tasty pasta dinner and apple crumble 🍝🍎, followed by a rainy moorland walk with amazing views 🌧️🌄.
After showers and chats, it was lights out—everyone is having a great time! 😊

Our partnership of schools has been shortlisted for the prestigious TES (Times Educational Supplement) Teaching Awards, reaching the finals for Inclusive Trust of the Year 2026 🎉
This recognition celebrates the way we work together as one family of schools. Rather than working in isolation, we actively share training, resources and expertise across all 18 schools, ensuring our staff are supported and our children benefit from the very best practice.
We are incredibly proud of everyone who makes our partnership such a supportive, inclusive and inspiring place to learn and work 💙👏

🌿 Magpies Visit the Eden Project 🌿
Our Magpies had a fantastic trip to the Eden Project, exploring the biomes and taking part in a fun “Crazy Chef” challenge 🍰
They represented our school beautifully with excellent behaviour and respect – we are so proud! 💫

🎶 Torbay Festival 2026 🎶
We are so proud of our musical talent, and one of our talented pupils who recently performed at the gala concert celebrating the best of this year’s festival.
After a beautiful performance of Delibes’ Flower Duet, she was awarded the David Campbell Shield for Overall Woodwind Player – an incredible achievement! 🏆
Huge congratulations! 👏✨

🍰 Cake Sale 🍰
Dunsford Baby and Toddler Group will be holding a Cake Sale on Friday 8th May at 3:15pm.
We are raising money for toy storage and craft supplies, and would love your support. Please come along, enjoy some tasty treats, and help support the group!

🌱 Greening Our Community 🌱
The Eco‑committee were proud to work alongside the Dunsford Climate Initiative to plant wild plug plants and sow seeds to help improve a local green space in Dunsford.
