We’re super proud of our Head of Geography, Nik Haynes, and his team, who yesterday completed a medley relay swim across the English Channel! 🇬🇧➡️🇫🇷

An amazing challenge and achievement, all while raising thousands of pounds for Hospiscare. 💙

🌊 Good luck to Mr Haynes!

Mr Haynes is attempting to swim the English Channel with three friends to raise money for Hospicecare.

After an August attempt was postponed due to unsuitable conditions, Mr Haynes received the call yesterday that conditions were finally right. He headed to Dover straight after school and set off at 5:30am this morning aboard High Hopes.

We are incredibly proud of this amazing challenge and wish him and the team every success as they make their way across the Channel.

A fantastic result for our Year 10 Boys Football Team!

The team got their cup campaign off to a brilliant start with a 6-2 victory over ISCA in the first round. The boys produced an excellent performance, showing great determination, teamwork and quality throughout the match.

Congratulations to all the players on a well-deserved win, and good luck in the next round! 👏

National Online Author Visit 📚

Our Year 7 students enjoyed meeting author Piu DasGupta online and learning all about life as an author, including what inspired her to write 'Secrets of the Snakestone' their Summer Book Club text.

A fantastic opportunity to hear first-hand about the inspiration behind a story!

Fantastic start to the National Cup campaign for our Year 8 football team!

A superb performance in Round One saw the team secure an impressive 11-2 victory over ISCA, showcasing excellent teamwork, determination, and some absolutely cracking goals along the way.

A special mention and thank you goes to one of our Year 11 students, who volunteered to referee the match as part of the ongoing development of his referee qualification. It was fantastic to see him demonstrating such commitment, professionalism, and leadership.

Well done to everyone involved. We look forward to the next round! 👏⚽🏆
