✨ A little summer catch-up… ✨

It’s been a busy few months! I’ve had a bit of a break from teaching over the summer while squeezing in lots of gigs, festivals and adventures with my band Colour - The Band - give us a follow to see what we’ve been up to!! 🎸🎤🎹🎵🎶

I also had the lovely opportunity to chat with BBC Radio Devon again 🎙️ — and if you swipe right, you can hear a little clip from the interview, where we were talking about the benefits of attending choirs….

And there’s been some lovely news from the studio too…

🎉 TWO of my students were awarded Distinctions in their Rockschool exams — one in Grade 2 and one in Grade 4! Wahooooo!!! Go Stella and Zara 🙌

I’m now properly back in the studio and it’s been SO good to get back to working with my students. This week we’ve been diving into mixed voice, alongside audition prep and some recording among other bits and bobs!

And as if that wasn’t enough… I’m also about to embark on a Master’s in Songwriting this year 🎓✍️ 🤓

So… summer was brilliant, but it’s good to be back! ❤️

Working on pitch with .robinson today…. Love this little trick I randomly came up with a while ago (which I now used a lot!) where we drop a juggling ball to help land the note better, really helped her to avoid hitting it sharp 👌

Been doing some mic technique lately!

Soooo many elements to singing we can dig into 😎🎤

I’ve got a couple of spaces currently available on Tuesdays as Wednesdays so just holla if you need help with:

* building sound technique from scratch
* working on repertoire
* audition prep
* singing grades
* refining/maintaining technique, such as finding balance in the bridge/mix register
* skills building, such as riffs & flexibility
* finding power / belt
* finding freedom in your voice
* working on musicality/timing and dynamics
* mic and performance technique/working with bands
* songwriting and artist development
* confidence/stagefright
* vocal health and recovery (depending on diagnosis and severity, referral may be required)
