Thank you very much to Nicola Ernst for presenting her paper last week, it’s always nice to get some Late Antiquity in our programme, it was well attended and well received by our community! We don’t have a meeting this week, but will be back for another seminar very soon!

The days are getting longer here on campus and the Spring 2020 Programme is well underway. Today, we have yet another wonderful seminar from one of own, Nicola Ernst will present her paper “Julian’s Funeral Law and the Erasure of the Memory of St Babylas” for us today at 5:30pm in the Leventis Room, Amory Building. Today, we have another wonderful seminar for one of our own. Julius Guthrie will present his paper “A king? A tyrant? A monarch? All are heroes. Explaining Pindar’s model of the autocratic ruler” today (31/1/20) at 5:30pm in the Leventis Room, Amory Building.
