I did this course on Saturday and it completely exceeding my expectations. I knew NOTHING about massage but came away having learnt and practised a variety of techniques over the course of the day. It felt more natural to give and receive massage than I ever thought it could and I definitely want to learn more now. Lisa is running this course again in the New Year so follow her and look out for it coming up. I promise you won’t regret it.

What a lovely day Saturday was! It was such a pleasure and a privilege to teach the art of massage to an amazing group of people. To watch them go from hands hovering hesitantly over the body saying “what do I do?” to simply massaging their partner’s back without any prompting or guidance, totally absorbed in what they were doing, responding to what they were feeling was just the most incredible experience.

If you missed this one, don’t fret - there will be another date in the new year! Watch this space …

Not exactly a colourful bowl of food but tinned sardines and a homemade sourdough roll hit the spot at lunch. I was busy and it took about 2 minutes to prepare. Some salad veg would have made it better, but still...

🐟 oily fish
👉 Protein: fuller for longer, no need to snack
👉 Essential fats: brain food to get me through the afternoon’s clients, anti-inflammatory, gut health, hormone balance

🍞Sourdough
👉 Bacteria: good for gut balance
👉 Fermented: easier to digest than mass-produced bread
👉Taste: amazing!

Any other lunch ideas around the 2-minute mark?

A walk this morning to clear my head and plan the day’s work. I decided not to have music in my ears for a change and try to make it a more meditative hour. I struggled without the distraction to be honest, but tried to pay attention to everything around me (narrowly missed walking into a lamppost while I was craning my neck to look at swans. It’s like I’ve never been for a walk before 🙄). And this wasn’t a bad sight to help keep me engaged really. Extra bonus - the work thing that was tripping me up is now so much clearer.
