πΌπ§ Our little gardeners have been busy helping to care for the flowers outside the nursery! Armed with watering cans and lots of enthusiasm, the children enjoyed watering the plants and learning about what flowers need to grow and thrive. π±πΈ
Activities like these help children develop a sense of responsibility, connect with nature, and build important physical skills while having fun outdoors. We love watching their confidence bloom alongside our beautiful flowers! βοΈπ·

π STRONG STANDARD IN ALL AREAS π
We are incredibly proud to share that Puffins at Westcliff has been recognised as Strong in all areas following its recent Ofsted inspection.
Just over a year ago, we took on our newest nursery in Dawlish with a vision to create a nurturing, inclusive and child-centred environment where children could thrive. To see the dedication, care and hard work of the team recognised in this way is truly special.
A huge thank you to our wonderful team, children and families who have been part of this journey β€οΈ

π₯ Campfire Adventures at Puffinsπ₯
Our Puffins children have been getting creative outdoors, using natural resources to build their very own campfire! ππͺ΅πΏ
Working together, the children carefully gathered and arranged natural materials to create a pretend campfire before letting their imaginations take over. They then enjoyed "toasting" marshmallows over the fire, sharing stories and engaging in lots of imaginative play. π‘β¨
Activities like these encourage creativity, teamwork, problem-solving, and communication skills while helping children connect with the natural world around them.
What a wonderful way to spark imagination and bring outdoor learning to life! π

πΏπ¬ Today at Puffins, our children enjoyed a wonderful popcorn-themed tuff tray activity!
Using tongs and scoops, the children made their very own popcorn creations while developing their fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination β¨
The fun continued inside our cosy cinema tent, where imaginations came to life as the children pretended to watch movies together. Through role play, they built confidence in communicating with one another, sharing ideas, and forming strong friendships π

π¦ Butterfly Awareness & Education Day π¦
On Saturday 6th June, we celebrated Butterfly Awareness & Education Day by creating our very own beautiful butterflies! Using card, the children decorated one side before carefully pressing it together to create stunning mirrored artwork. π¨β¨
We also enjoyed reading the much-loved story The Very Hungry Caterpillar, where we learned all about the life cycle of a caterpillar and discovered how it transforms into a beautiful butterfly. πβ‘οΈπ¦
