What an AMAZING morning our Always Club Winners had today making their own ice cream and sorbet.
They chose to make blueberry 🫐 and lemon 🍋 sorbet, vanilla, strawberry 🍓, biscoff and honeycomb, chocolate 🍫 and pineapple 🍍 and mango 🥭. There was a lot of taste testing, purely in the name of research!
What a brilliant treat for our pupils and a real insight into a local artisan producer. We all learnt lots about making ice- cream and came away with lots of goodies to share with our families tonight.

Class 2 & 3 had a lovely day yesterday Dartmoor Zoo they had workshops, alongside plenty of time to explore and see lots of different animals.
During our residential we visited
Pupils took part in a WW2 tour of the cathedral, they learnt how to decipher morse code, went on a hunt for WW2 memorials and visited various sites in the cathedral that were damaged during the blitz. It was so interesting and the children were really engaged. We were all in awe of this incredible building and a highlight had to be when we all laid on the floor and spent a few moments of reflection looking up at the domes ceiling.
This morning we walked over the top of Tower Bridge. We enjoyed the amazing views and walked over the glass floor.

A very wet river cruise yesterday - but still an amazing experience. A really good commentary and the children heard loads of facts about the River Thames.
Yeaterday afternoon we had the privilege of meeting on the Milenium Bridge. Ben had created two pieces of hidden art especially for as well creating a piece in real time with the children. Unfortunately our meeting was caught short by a hail storm ☔️ but we are going to go back and look at the pieces again tomorrow when we go to St Paul's Cathedral. Thank you Ben for giving us your time, we are going to create our own pieces of chewing gum art when we go back to school!
Fabulous start to our trip to London. We spent a wonderful few hours learning about climate change and carbon
Pupils enjoyed becoming Climate Ambassadors and thinking what changes they could make at scjooo when we return.
