Today we reflect on the martyrdom of Guru Arjan Dev Sahib, remembered in Sikh communities for his teachings of compassion, equality, humility, and peace.

Moments like these offer opportunities to learn about different faiths, histories, and traditions - helping build greater understanding between communities.

🌍✨ Celebrating Culture, Identity and Youth Voice at West Exe School

We're proud to be delivering the Youth Cultural Champions programme at West Exe School, empowering young people to explore their heritage, build confidence and become ambassadors for cultural understanding within their school community.

Through the programme, students develop presentation and leadership skills, share their personal stories and experiences, and help create a more inclusive environment where diversity is celebrated. Youth Cultural Champions is part of the work of Devon Development Education at the Global Centre, supporting young people from diverse backgrounds to develop self-confidence and become positive role models for others.

A huge thank you to the students West Exe School for their enthusiasm, openness and commitment to creating a school community where everyone feels seen, valued and heard.
