Exeter School is a great place to work 😊

Seeing pupils' faces light up when something you've done helps them through their day or a bigger learning curve, no matter your role, is priceless. 🌕🏮 This week we held the very first meeting of our South East Asia Society! Just before the Mid-Autumn Festival, pupils learned about Asian culture and traditions, sampled traditional mooncakes, and got creative making their own lanterns.

A fantastic start to what promises to be an exciting society, celebrating culture, diversity and global understanding.🏮🌕

It was a wonderful opportunity for Dr Rainbow to meet a fellow head from another school, and to build connections between Exeter School and St Peter's along the way.

We were absolutely delighted to welcome Beth Durant into school, coming in to coach and talk to our netball girls!

Throughout the day, our netball teams had the chance to enjoy conversations and a talk with Beth, alongside hands on drills and game play, giving them a brilliant opportunity to learn from her experience and pick up some fantastic tips along the way.

It was clear just how much our girls enjoyed having Beth around, and what a memorable experience it was for everyone involved.

A massive thank you to Beth for taking the time to come in and share her knowledge with our netball teams! 😊

Finn's Water Polo Success 🤽‍♂

Over the past two weeks, Finn has been busy competing in a string of water polo competitions, with some brilliant results to show for it.

The weekend before last, Finn played for Devon in the Inter-Counties U17 competition at Millfield, helping the team to victory, including a superb goal in the deciding match against Gloucester. 🎉

At the weekend, he also travelled to Walsall to play for Newton Abbot Swimming and Water Polo Club in the first round of the Junior Men's U18 Conference League. The boys were awesome, securing wins in both games: a hard-fought 11–8 victory over City of Birmingham, followed by a more comfortable 19–6 win over City of Sheffield. They finished the first round top of the table on goal difference, with round two to come in mid-November.

Alongside this, Finn was also back at Millfield at the weekend, this time playing for Exeter City Water Polo & Swimming Club in the U17 Bristol and West Tournament. Following convincing victories over Bristol, Weymouth, Welsh Wanderers and Newport, Exeter were narrowly defeated by Newton in the decider, settling for silver this time round. Finn did brilliantly throughout, contributing several goals and multiple assists.

Looking for a new role? Want to work part-time, term-time, 20 hours a week? Have a clean license?

We are looking for reliable, flexible bus drivers to transport our pupils to and from school, collecting from pre-agreed locations. There is even the opportunity to broaden this into full-time work by taking on additional Facilities Assistant duties, which include supporting the smooth running of the school through general housekeeping, porterage, and site security. This provides an opportunity for a varied and active role, combining essential transport with wider operational support.
