🚨 I AM NOT MOVING TO AUSTRALIA, I AM NOT GOING TRAVELLING LONG-TERM, AND GKDC SESSIONS ARE RUNNING AS NORMAL UNTIL CHRISTMAS! 🚨

I’ve had quite a few messages after a post about me “going on an incredible travelling adventure to Australia” 😂✈️🇦🇺

As great as that sounds, it’s definitely been taken a little out of context!

My commitments have changed slightly from a playing perspective, which I think has been interpreted by the club I was playing for as me disappearing off travelling.

In reality, I’m only away over the Christmas period, 13th December until 3rd January.

So, to be absolutely clear:

🧤 GKDC sessions continue as normal right through until Christmas.
📅 I’m not moving away.
✈️ I’m not going travelling long-term.
🇦🇺 Australia is simply our Christmas/New Year trip!
↪️ Straight back to normal service in the new year!

There’s still plenty of goalkeeper training, sessions and events to come before Christmas, so don’t worry, I’m not disappearing! 😂

🧤 1v1s & The Second Save

Working on 1v1s with our keepers, with a particular focus on the transition into the opposite direction when preparing for the second save.

A big part of goalkeeper training is understanding that training is sometimes a trade-off. When we place a greater emphasis on one area, we may temporarily sacrifice some quality in another. That’s okay, the aim is to create the right conditions to exaggerate and develop the specific behaviour we’re looking for.

Today was about challenging the keepers to recover, reset and transition quickly after the first action, ready for what comes next.

The group did a great job of embracing the challenge and adapting throughout the session. 👏

A fantastic month from Eddie, and thoroughly deserved recognition for his commitment and work throughout the summer. Eddie has come on leaps and bounds over recent months, as recognised by many people within both our coaching programme and people in the league that he plays in.

✨ Congratulations to our Mind Over MND. Player of the Month for July - Louie! ✨

Louie has been incredible throughout various months, in regular sessions and our Striker Showdown Sundays, consistently bringing a fantastic attitude, great energy and an outstanding character to every session. ⚽🔥

He’s also recently earned his place in the matchday squad at the RTC, and it’s brilliant to see his hard work and development being recognised. He continues to thrive week after week with us, always willing to learn, improve and push himself. ✅

A fantastic example of the attitude and character we love to see!
