One of our REACH values is Community. We wanted to thank those around us in our community for helping us. Our Year 2 pupils wrote some lovely cards to the cleaning team to say 'Thank You' for all they do to keep our community clean. They have really appreciated the kind words and lovely art.

Primary schoolchildren in Exeter have thanked the City Council for keeping their streets and play areas clean and tidy.

Year 2 pupils at St Thomas Primary School created stunning handmade cards to thank Council staff for the work they do after learning about citizenship.

City Council Chief Executive Bindu Arjoon said: “I was so surprised and grateful to receive these beautiful thank you cards from pupils at St Thomas.

“Our team at the Council work incredibly hard to keep Exeter looking its best, and to receive this support from the community they serve - and to know their work is appreciated - means so much.”

As you know we love all our children being active at St Thomas Primary. Whether climbing trees or making assault courses or playing sport we want ALL our pupils to be physically active. It is with great pleasure, and pride, I can announce that today our Year 4 /5 girls football team WON a tournament at West Exe.

Congratulations to all the girls, and a huge thank you to Mrs Pinckney, our Year 6 teacher, who runs the club every Monday after school - all year round - if you have a daughter in Years 3,4,5 or 6 it's free to go to and runs till 4.15pm every Monday.
