Vocal health and singing tip #5
Sorry its been a while guys, things have been mega busy!
My vocal tip today is, even though you may be going through periods of not singing everyday, try and do some gentle voicing exercises regularly everyday, to keep your throat and voice moving and in a healthy relaxed state. The muscles in your entire throat support your voice and if they do not get exercised and stretched, especially if you are under a lot of stress can play such a massive part in the flexibility and control of your voice. Gentle neck rolls and stretches make such a difference, there are also a lot of safe jaw muscle massages and tongue stretches that you can do on yourself too. I shall upload some examples of them soon! On another note (no pun intended) I popped down to exmouth yesterday to do a little busking. here is a snippet from my day. I hope you've all had an amazing weekend :)

What a wonderful review from the amazing FireKind's lead singer Jas Morris! -
'I was extremely luck to have Eleanor nearby during the first month of a gruelling 3 month tour of the French Alps a few years ago. We were gigging on average from 7-10 gigs a week, often in freezing conditions during the day and into hot and humid venues by night.
As you can probably imagine the toll that this sort of schedule takes on anyones voice whilst attempting to sing for 4 hours most days, can be extreme.
I was suffering, my voice was hoarse.
On top of that was the stress of thinking I wouldn’t be able to get through the rest of the week, let alone the 2 months remaining of the tour.
In came Eleanor. She worked with me and my voice and was able to coach me on various warm up methods and provide me with new techniques to sing with more power and less strain. After a short amount of time, with her close guidance I could feel my voice pulling through, and I can honestly say that if it weren’t for her I definitely would have had to cancel the rest of the tour.
Not only did my voice recover, it came back with strength. Her coaching made me into a better singer.
Now a few years on, before every gig and rehearsal, I still use the techniques and warm-up methods that she taught me. It’s because of her that I can be confident that my voice will get through any gruelling tour schedule that should come up.
I can’t recommend her enough!'
Thanks again for your lovely review Jas! I am so glad I could help you :)

Vocal health and singing tip #4
It is important to drink little sips of water, often and all day to constantly keep your body and vocal folds hydrated. Only drinking water an hour or Just before going on stage/performing will have a lot less benefit to you. The flexibility of your vocal chords can directly depend on the amount of water in your body. Also downing a pint of water after a night out/just before going to bed will most likely cause acid reflux! Remember to be drinking water all day.

Vocal health and singing tip #3
Make sure you stop eating at least three hours before going to bed or lying down, as this can cause acid reflux which will damage your vocal chords. Have a musical Wednesday everyone!
