As the new year begins, I’ve been asking myself: what does it mean to start 2026 with purpose?
For me, it’s about staying true to what matters most, and one of the ways I do that is by sharing the work I love. Coaching isn’t just my profession; it’s a way to help people navigate complexity with clarity and integrity.
At Wise Goose, we believe coaching can create ripples of change in organisations, communities, and the wider world. This year, we’re committed to shaping sustainable futures through purpose-led leadership and systemic awareness.
Take a peek at these 5 steps to Starting 2026 with purpose.
What intention will guide you in 2026?
I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Reflecting on 2025 and Embracing the Solstice -

Dr Sybille Schiffmann Chair of Wise Goose Advisory Board recently undertook work with the School of Leadership, Management and Marketing School of Leadership looking at levers for change and translating a whole school development conversation. During the day they explored the journey from reactive “firefighting” to proactive, trust-based leadership whilst holding a deep commitment to co-creating impact with students, staff and partners. As Sybille wrote afterwards; “In a sector often defined by constraints, this team focused on possibility. On shaping culture, not just metrics. On mentoring not just managing. On listening before leading. It’s leadership like this that makes change stick.”
It sounds like an inspiring days’ work and a great example of what good leadership looks like.

In a recent conversation with Chris Nichols, Helen spoke about the potential of doing deep work around noticing how we get attached to being a certain way. This can then become a problem when we hold that identification or experience so rigidly that it develops into a limitation. She touched on the importance of having a light touch with humour to help loosen the identification, using playfulness and enquiry to experiment and see what happens.
This sums up Wise Goose’s approach to coaching; working at depth, being aware where boundaries are, and bringing humour, creativity and playfulness to what we do. If you’d like to hear the conversation pop over to this link https://lnkd.in/eUZMXbUU

; and it’s over to Brené Brown to remind us of the importance of joy. She said; “Joy collected over time fuels resilience - ensuring we’ll have reservoirs of emotional strength when hard things do happen.” What things can you do to add to your reservoir of joy this week?

We’re celebrating 10 years of the UK B Corp movement - a movement which went from 62 founding B Corps B Corp UK in 2015 to over 2,600. As Chris Turner CEO of B Lab UK said; “Over the past decade, our community has shown that a more human approach to business is both possible and profitable. With real momentum, B Corps are demonstrating the leadership we need at a time of uncertainty by creating lasting impact and demonstrating what’s possible when companies lead with purpose.” For Wise Goose being part of the community has always felt like the right thing to do, as a way of putting our flag in the sand, saying ‘this is what we’re about’ and being accountable. Many congratulations B Corp on your 10 year anniversary!

While we feel that elements of training with us can make a huge change to coachees lives we don’t like to make false claims - however it’s always lovely to hear feedback which does attest to the power of the work we do. This was written by an Advanced Programme Graduate; “The Wise Goose course was life-changing. The balanced mix of in person and online learning, coach practice, critical thinking, and portfolio work reignited my love of learning and creativity. The course’s reflective approach and diverse content encouraged me to bring my unique style to coaching.”
