There was a delicious smell coming from the kitchen this afternoon as the children got busy baking a batch of homemade chocolate brownies! 😋

Lots of mixing, measuring and, of course, a little taste testing along the way! The finished results looked amazing and disappeared very quickly. 🍫✨

From football matches and team games to outdoor adventures and lots of laughter, our children have been making the most of nice weather this evening Cranbrook Education Campus. It's wonderful to see friendships growing, confidence building, and everyone having fun together after a busy day at school.

What a way to come back after the long bank holiday weekend! 🙌

The children at Withycombe Raleigh C of E Primary School came in FULL of energy tonight and didn’t disappoint! 💥

We kept everyone fuelled with a classic favourite for snack – beans on toast 🍞✨ before heading into a busy evening of fun and creativity.

👑 Sarah got stuck into making crowns with some of the children – lots of imagination (and future kings and queens in the making!)

⚽ Outside, things got competitive with a hula hooping competition… safe to say the staff team didn’t quite take the win this time 😅

🌳 Plenty of time on the play equipment and a good game of football kept everyone active

🏡 Indoors, the dolls house and role play corner were a big hit, with lots of brilliant storytelling and teamwork

A great mix of energy, creativity and fun to kick off the week! 💙

🍎 Snack Time = Our Favourite Time of Day! 🥪

Each evening, we come together for snack — and it’s about so much more than just food. It’s a chance to slow down, chat about the day, check in with the children, and hear what they have been learning and enjoying.

We keep things varied, with a different option each day. So far this week we’ve had sandwiches, pasta, crumpets, and toast — all served alongside a selection of fresh fruit 🍓🍌🍏🍐

Our snack isn’t designed to replace a family meal, but simply to keep everyone going until home time (and avoid those after-school hunger meltdowns!).

It’s a lovely, relaxed part of the session — and one the children really value 💬

After a quick snack, the children were straight outside making the most of the beautiful weather – music playing, and all our activities set up outside for everyone to enjoy! We had everything from bug hunts and mud kitchen fun to football, team games, and even a shot put challenge 💪

It’s evenings like these that make summer term so fun 🌿

We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised After School Club Manager to lead our Withy provision. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with childcare experience who is ready to take the next step into a leadership role.

The role includes:
Managing the day-to-day running of the club
Leading, supporting, and motivating staff
Ensuring high-quality care, safeguarding, and compliance

Requirements:
Experience working with children
Leadership or previous playwork/childcare experience preferred
Relevant childcare qualification (or be willing to work towards)
