Ellen Tinkham College's Summer Fete is this Friday, 19th June! 10.30 am - 11.45 am. And we are very pleased to announce that the MAYOR OF EXETER will be opening our fete!!

We're still looking for Tombola prizes (toys, small games, teddies, small gifts) as well as raffle prizes such as hamper items and luxury gifts. Tickets are on sale now via School Gateway and being sent home to purchase. Top prize is £100 CASH! You've got to be in it to win it!!

⭐️Staff Member Set to Shine at Special Olympics GB Games⭐️

We’re proud to share that Dee, a valued MTA at School, will be competing in the sport of Badminton at the 2026 Special Olympics GB National Summer Games in Nottingham this weekend! This is a huge event across many disciplines, with about 250 athletes taking part in Badminton alone.

The Games will bring together athletes from across the UK and is the first Special Olympics GB Games in over 9 years! Dee’s dedication to sport and her goal of becoming an Athlete Leader (there are only 100 in the UK) make this an incredible achievement.

Everyone at Ellen Tinkham School is wishing Dee the very best of luck — we know she’ll do herself proud!

💛Carers Week - Monday 8th to Sunday 14th June 2026💛
Carers Week is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges unpaid carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK. It also helps people who don’t see themselves as having caring responsibilities to identify as carers and access much-needed support.

Devon Carers will be at the following locations during the week:

Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th June – Exeter Respect Festival
Monday 8th June – Bideford
Tuesday 9th June – Crediton and Exeter Nightingale Hospital
Wednesday 10th June – Newton Abbot
Thursday 11th June – Tavistock area and RD&E
Friday 12th June – Exmouth
Saturday 13th June – National Trust properties – Killerton, Castle Drogo and Arlington Court

Staff from Ernest Jackson of Crediton volunteered their time last Friday at Hollow Lane and what a difference they made. With smiles on their faces from start to finish, they rolled up their sleeves and got stuck in:
🎨 Decorating the walls in our specialist "Hub" and creating wonderful murals
🪜Painting our outdoor fences
🌱 Clearing weeds, digging beds and tidying our Squirrels playground
🌿 Cutting back overgrown bushes outside Red class
It wasn’t just their hard work – it was the teamwork and enthusiasm they brought with them. A huge THANK YOU to each and every volunteer for giving your time and making a difference 💙

We are looking for a professional, adaptable and discreet individual who will be at the heart of our Federation. You will provide executive support, oversee our websites and social media, lead admin teams across the Federation and liaise with both our PTFAs. As the first point of contact for the Executive Head, you will communicate confidently and warmly, maintain exceptional attention to detail and juggle multiple priorities with ease.

Based in Exeter but working across our Federation as the Executive Head’s 'right hand', this is a rewarding role where you can truly make a difference.
