💛 Saying goodbye (and hello to new adventures)! 💛
Our nursery leavers party on Saturday was truly special. 🎉🥹 There were so many smiles, lots of laughter, and all the lovely little moments that make this time so memorable.

We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who helped make the day so wonderful—our amazing staff for all the planning and preparation, and of course our nursery families for always supporting us and being part of the journey. 💛

To our leavers: we’re so proud of you. You’ve grown so much since you started with us—learning new skills, making new friends, building confidence, and creating memories that we will always treasure. Today wasn’t just about the party, it was about celebrating everything you are and everything you’ve achieved. 🌈

And now… it’s time for your next chapter. We know you’re going to do brilliantly and we can’t wait to hear all about your new adventures ahead! ✨

This week in baby room we have enjoyed spending lots of time in the garden in the sun ☀️ we have explored different textures such as sand and have been using flowers🌷 and and spades🪏 to make marks. We have also enjoyed doing some water 🎨 painting in the tuff trays.
Outside we have been practising moving balls ⚽️ around and starting to turn take turns by rolling the ball back and forth ⚽️ between each other.

This week in big room we have loved playing outside where we loved learning about bumblebees 🐝 and what they do. We have also enjoyed doing watercolour painting 🖼️ and lots of mark making to draw our summer pictures ☀️. We have also been doing our own PE lessons to extend our physical development 🕺.

This week in baby room the children have been playing with the baby dolls 👶pretending to feed them 🍼rock them and dress them 👕The babies have been exploring the new slide, 🛝 shouting ‘weeee’ as they slide down.

In big room this week the children have loved reading different stories 📘with their adults, doing actions and pointing to the pictures. They have been using the metal pots and pans 🍳as drums 🪘 in the garden whilst the adults sing 🎵 nursery rhymes along.

This week in baby room we have enjoyed exploring ocean themed sensory trays! We loved mixing sand and water together as well as splashing fish and other sea creatures into the water! We have also loved making sand castles in the sand pit! We can’t wait to explore more next week!

This week in the big room we have been exploring different forms of playdough. We made some lovely brown chocolate themed playdough with cocoa powder in it and also made some super soft ice cream themed playdough. We have loved playing outside with different shapes of ice, breaking it up with lots of different tools! We have also loved dancing to different types of music, doing different dance moves and using ribbons!

This week the toddlers have loved exploring different materials and exploring with our senses😋 we have enjoyed fruity water, with ice,lemons, limes and strawberries🍓🍋 we have enjoyed lots of outdoors time, looking and smelling flowers🌸, running to see the chickens and collecting pine cones🌲 for our Dinosaur homes🦖. We have been expanding our language to include ‘big’ and ‘small’ as well as talking lots about our colours and what what colours we can see💙❤️💛

Preschool has had a lovely week this week. We really enjoyed taking about summer where we shared our own experiences —summer time spent with our families, and going to the beach is the favourite thing we do with our families😎🍦. We also went on walks where we picked up some pinecones and painted them with different colours🎨.

This week in the baby room we have done some art work in their art books, we have used forks, cotton buds and brushes to create with🖌🎨 They have used there body parts to explore in the tuff tray with different textures, shaving foam being a firm
Favourite 👋🏻 when the babies have been outside going for walks, they have been smelling all the flowers 🌸 and seeing the bees 🐝 and of course we end every walk and adventure outside with a little wave & hello to our chickens 🐓

This week we have been interested in firefighters so we created our own fire to put out! 🔥🧯🧑‍🚒
We have also enjoyed getting messy with our gloop tray trying to rescue the animals from being stuck. 🐖🐄
We loved our snail 🐌 and the whale 🐳 tray, we talked about our favourite parts of the story as we explored the tray!

This week in the baby room we have been playing with lots of different sensory bags, exploring touch ✋and smell👃 The babies have also been really interested in tractors 🚜 this week so we went for a walk up to the farm to look at the tractors, we spoke about the colours of the tractors and were interested in the yummy apples 🍎 on the apple tree 🌳 on the way there. We have done lots of beautiful singing, learning new songs and rummaging through the song bag! 🎶

This week in the big room we have enjoyed going on a walk 🚶‍♀️ and responding to natural phenomena. We heard crickets, felt the wind 🌬️ in our hair and found leaves and apples 🍏 . We have also been making our own playdough following the instructions carefully! In terms of our drawing ✍️ skills we used clear lids to draw each other this made us all giggle.🤭

WITH LOVE FROM BROADCLYST 🤍

This week at Broadclyst we have been enjoying our time outside in lots of different ways. We took our chalkboards with us to draw the things that we could see 👀

We also made the most of the slightly windier weather by taking our kite🪁 we each took turns to fly the kite and we all loved watching it swoop and dance in the sky ☁️ we also spoke about the wind 💨 and how it made the kite move.

Back at nursery we have engaged really enthusiastically with our role play resources, especially the tool kit 🔧 we took time to concentrate whilst using our hand 🖐️ to eye coordination to put the screws in the holes and to tap the nails with the hammer 🔨

Last week in the the big room we have been exploring moon day! by using sponges to paint our moon cut outs with gold and blue paint! We have enjoyed creating our own teddy tea parties and reading stories to our teddies. We have also explored transport and vehicles pretending to drive cars and fly planes ✈️ we have continued learning about life cycles including watering our tomato plants!!

This week in the baby room we have really enjoyed exploring making sounds and noises with the instruments! 🥁 We particularly liked the xylophones and tambourines! We have also enjoyed making some animal tuff trays naming and making animal sounds! 🐄

In big room this week the children have been playing ring toss in the garden, doing lots of turn taking with their friends. The children have been racing along the garden in a running race. Big room have loved playing different games together like the shopping list game.

This week in baby room we have been doing lots of painting in the garden making different marks on the easel. They have been playing peek a boo behind it and laughing lots. The babies enjoying a lovely trip to the park, playing on the swings and the slide. 🛝
