We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Tom, who organised and hosted a fantastic comedy night at The Phoenix to raise funds for the Preschool. Words cannot fully convey how grateful we are for the time and effort you dedicated to making this event such a success. We’d also like to express our appreciation to everyone who purchased tickets and attended the evening. Together, you helped raise an incredible £3,190!
These funds will be put to excellent use, with some exciting new projects and resources already underway. We love being part of such a supportive and generous community and are so grateful for everything you do to help the Preschool thrive.

Our Pre-School was first established in 1991 at Heavitree United Reformed Church, running as Heavitree URC Pre-School. Evolving from a mother and baby group, our setting successfully ran morning sessions from the church for many years until facilities became unsuitable for our needs. In July 2006 we achieved our accreditation by successfully fulfilling the criteria required for the pre-school lea

We have made it to the end of term and a big thank you to our Preschool Children, Parents, Grandparents, Staff and Trustees!! We couldn’t do this without you. Now to enjoy the holidays and Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone. See you all back on Tuesday 7th January.
This is the tree that was set up in St Michael’s Church that the children made decorations for. Some of the children walked up to the Church to see it and the other trees on display. We are so grateful to St Michael’s for the fundraising they have done for us and so pleased to be part of such a supportive and caring community.

We have been super busy this half term exploring insects, autumn and pumpkins. Talking about ourselves and what makes us special, labeling body parts and drawing faces. Playing in our new Wendy house and many more exciting things. We are having a break next week and will see everyone on Monday 4th November.
Well that’s it for a another fantastic year of fun and learning at Heavitree Community Preschool.
We would like to wish you all a wonderful summer holidays and look forward to seeing those of you who are returning in September.

We have been ever so busy here at Preschool and we cannot believe we are reaching the end of term already!
Our themes over the last few months have consisted of Mini-beasts, Under the Sea/Pirates and Sports/Olympics.
In addition to this, we have studied several countries, such as, The Philippines, Germany, New Zealand and France, where we have learnt some amazing things, which the children have really enjoyed!
It’s hard to believe we only have a few more Preschool days left before the Summer break but this term has been a blast!
To the children who are moving on to their new adventure at big school, we wish you all the best! It has been an absolute pleasure to watch you grow and achieve during your time with us. The preschool team will look forward to seeing some of you over the fence for a quick chat and a wave 👋
A polite reminder that Wednesday 24th July is our last day and we will be closing at 12pm! ☀️
Today the children have been very lucky to listen to Karen playing her flute along with the classical composer Beethoven, in support of our country of the month Germany. 🇩🇪

We’ve had something very exciting happen over the holidays! ☀️
Our caterpillars have finally completed their cycle and have now transitioned into beautiful butterflies! 🦋
A big thank you to Rachel, who took them home, cared for them and released them outside😊
