Part-Time Housekeeper near Poundsgate, Dartmoor.
For one lively toddler, a soon-to-arrive new-born, and a household that runs best with laughter, good food, and a little extra help
A friendly, outdoors-loving family is looking for a proactive, kind, and down-to-earth housekeeper to support their busy household. The role is a blend of housekeeping and childcare, with the balance shifting depending on the day.
Dad works long hours, Mum will be home (and welcoming a new-born in December 2025), and there’s a bright, energetic 2-year-old who loves to be part of the action. Some days your focus will be on the house — laundry, cooking, dog walking — and on others it may be more about childcare, or a mix of the two.
This is about being a steady, positive presence who helps the home run smoothly and brings calm and warmth to family life.
What you’ll be doing:
– Helping to keep the home ticking over with laundry, cooking, tidying, and occasional dog walks
– Spending time with a curious, lively toddler — play, fun, and gentle structure
– Offering an extra pair of hands when Mum is busy with the baby from December
– Being flexible: some days are more about the house, others more about the children
We’re looking for someone who:
– Is proactive, practical, and can see what needs doing without waiting to be asked
– Has experience with toddlers and enjoys creating a safe, fun, and nurturing environment
– Brings a calm, confident energy with a practical sense of humour
– Loves being part of family life and is looking for a long-term role where they’ll be truly valued

Childminder’s Assistant – Thorverton (2–3 Days per Week, Mon–Wed, 9am–5pm)
Are you full of energy, love being outdoors, and secretly enjoy singing nursery rhymes even when no one is watching? We might have the perfect role for you!
A Childminder is looking for a friendly, fun, and slightly adventurous Childminder’s Assistant to join their small setting in Thorverton. This is a part-time role, working 2–3 days a week, Monday to Wednesday, 9am–5pm, supporting the childminder with activities for children.
What we’re looking for:
A caring, cheerful personality who loves being around kids (and can survive Lego attacks without flinching!)
Outdoorsy and energetic – someone who enjoys walks, playtime, and maybe even mud pies
Animal-friendly – a miniature dachshund who will probably try to steal your snacks
Reliable, flexible, and happy to jump in with daily routines, fun activities, and the occasional glitter explosion
Previous childcare experience is helpful, but enthusiasm and a sense of humour go a long way
Your role will include:
Helping with daily activities and routines
Supervising children indoors and outdoors (bonus points if you can keep up!)
Encouraging creative, fun, and educational play
Assisting with light tidying and organising toys and materials (yes, Lego counts)
Being prepared for occasional dog cuddles, tail wags, or squeaky toy interruptions
Why you’ll love it:
Work in a happy, supportive, and outdoor-focused environment
Small team, lots of laughter, and a dachshund who thinks she’s in charge
Part-time hours perfect for work-life balance
If you’re passionate about children, love fresh air, and don’t mind the occasional sticky handprint or dog nose, we’d love to hear from you!

Part-Time Teen Companion in Lympstone
For one brilliant 13-year-old and days full of creativity, connection, and the occasional animal cuddle
A kind, home-educating family in Lympstone is looking for a caring, fun, and down-to-earth companion for their 13-year-old daughter. She’s artistic, thoughtful, and adores animals, she would love to spend time with someone who can truly be a friend: someone to chat to, explore with, and bring fresh energy to her week.
This is not a nannying role in the traditional sense — it's about friendship, presence, and shared fun.
What you’ll be doing:
– Spending time one-on-one with a creative, kind-hearted teen
– Going on relaxed outings — art galleries, cafes, parks, walks, shops
– Exploring new places, meeting up with other friends, and having fun together
– Supporting social confidence through gentle encouragement and warm, open conversation
– Being a thoughtful, steady presence while she navigates her teenage years
We’re looking for someone who:
– Is naturally warm, empathetic, and easy to talk to
– Has a real love for animals, art, and being outdoors
– Is fun, kind, and has the emotional intelligence to build trust slowly
– Can commit to Tuesdays plus either Wednesday or Thursday, from 8am to 6pm (2 days/week required, with the option of a third day)
– Has a driver’s licence and is confident planning small local adventures in the area
P.S. If you love animals, enjoy a good chat, and can laugh at silly things — she’s ready to meet you.

Job:1237
Part-Time Nanny in Lustleigh, Dartmoor 20 hours a week - £20.00 GPH
Two small humans, a bit of beautiful chaos, and a household powered by snacks and good humour.
A warm, welcoming family in the beautiful village of Lustleigh, on the edge of Dartmoor, is looking for a calm but energetic nanny to support their 5-year-old and 18-month-old. If you can keep up with a little boy who thinks he’s training for the Olympics — but also know how to bring calm and balance when needed — you might just be the perfect fit!
Their 5-year-old manages some sensory processing challenges following recent medical treatment. Their older sibling has complex needs and her own care team, so experience with additional needs (or a natural, thoughtful approach) is important. You’ll be joining a family that truly values kindness, teamwork, and a good sense of humour.
What you’ll be doing:
– Keeping pace with an energetic little boy — and knowing when to gently press the brakes
– Caring for the 18-month-old with warmth and patience
– Helping with light household tasks and mucking in wherever needed
– Supporting family life with a calm, positive attitude and a sprinkle of fun
– Driving to and from local activities (own car essential)
What we’re looking for:
– Experience with children who have additional needs (or the right instinctive approach)
– Energetic enough to keep pace, calm enough to bring balance
– A grounded, flexible personality with a good sense of humour
– Confident navigating a lively, loving home environment
– A driver comfortable with Dartmoor’s country roads
– Happy around animals (the household includes a cat, a dog and two gerbils!)
This is a fantastic opportunity for a caring, capable nanny who’s ready to join a warm family where no two days are quite the same — but laughter and teamwork are always guaranteed.
P.S. If you can prep lunch, find a missing shoe, stay calm while the baby redecorates with raisins, and occasionally join in the zoom races — then get in touch!
