Accountancy Learning Leading provider of AAT accounting & bookkeeping training, specialising in distance learning. We have been providing AAT training since 1992.

Trading as Accountancy Plus Training we were recognised by the Learning & Skills Council as a Centre of Vocational Excellence in Accounting; we were also the first provider in the country to achieve Certification in the Training Quality Standard with Excellence in Accounting. A theme there somewhere? We have always supported distance learning, so in January 2012, we set up Accountancy Learning Ltd to provide a distinct service focused primarily on this learner group (as opposed to the provision of taught courses). Distance learners have specific needs and these need to be catered for. We have for a number of years developed interactive accountancy learning materials, which are available 24×7 on our Virtual Learning Environment, Moodle. These form the bedrock of our distance learning course (supported by traditional study manuals, where relevant), and as importantly, the availability of a team of personal tutors, accessible by email or telephone, to guide and support you through your studies.

When she’s not travelling with her husband or catching up with family, you’ll likely find Kathryn enjoying a night out at the theatre or live concerts 🎭🎶. She’s also a keen sewer whenever she finds the time 🧵✨.

Fitness-wise? She’ll be the first to admit that going to the gym isn’t her favourite thing in the world, but nothing beats that feeling of satisfaction when it’s ticked off the list! 💪✅

At heart, Kathryn is all about making people smile and helping students succeed through their studies, firmly believing everyone deserves the chance to fulfil their dreams and be happy. 🌟

Two days. 17 sessions. And plenty of ideas to bring home with us. 💡

Last week, Prue, Victoria, Carl and myself (Simon) from the AL team headed to the 2026 Entrepreneurs Circle Convention for two days of great speakers, useful insights and plenty of inspiration.

We also enjoyed the annual awards, brilliantly hosted by Alex Horne & The Horne Section.

One message that stuck with us was the importance of acting on new ideas within 72 hours. After that, it’s all too easy for the momentum to disappear once you’re back to the day job.

So we’ve already started putting a few of those ideas into practice.
