A wonderful first week ✨

Police station and a funky bank created, this fulfilled interest and was a lovely introduction to me and what I can do. It also gained huge trust in the vision he had in mind I made it come to life, we have had a wonderful few sessions this week and very much looking forward to the next. ✨

Late night working 🌙

Creating a social story for a little boy who is starting school on Monday, this will help him process and understand what this new change will look like. Although it’s late, I love my job and I am dedicated to giving this little boy the easiest transition into school as much as I possibly can.

Cannot believe that the summer holidays is so close to being over, we have had a blast! Today we finished off with lots of playing, drawing, a new park trip and lots of laughing!

Meet ✨ Eli ✨

Eli will one day become an emotional support therapy dog for young people and children with additional needs, this will be an optional service. We have a lot of training and learning to do but for now we’ll allow him to be a puppy.

Good morning,

I’m Emilee, the face behind ‘Emilee’s SEND support hub.’

Thought I’d reintroduce myself and let you know what I’m all about, I started working with children and young people with additional needs back in 2019. I worked as an enabler in the community helping parents with school runs, providing respite and providing fun and engaging activities. During this time I also provided care and support to elderly, this sadly ended when I decided I wanted to gain more knowledge within a sen school and realised that’s where my real passion layed.

After working in the most amazing Sen school for 3 years, working within all key stages and loving every moment I felt I could give more and provide more to those children who don’t get the opportunity to go to a sen school or those struggling in mainstream or to provide any help or support to parents, guardians or carers. I felt also children who are about to start school could benefit from having short engagement sessions with me to prepare them for school. The list is endless with what I plan to try and help with please always message. No question isn’t worth asking I will help as much as I can and the support and help I will provide is everything I would want for my own children ✨

Fun things I have enjoyed doing over the years -
• World book day is my favourite - dressing up is the best!
• Messy maths - messier the better. 🫟
• Organising the classrooms nativity. 📆
• Singing loud and proud 🎶
• Building confidence in young people so they have been able to go back to school 🏫
• Creating a child’s crafty vision 👩🏻‍🎨
• Water play - building confidence around water 💦
• Building trust between myself and a child for them to comfortably transition around the school 🏫
• Working with the most incredible people who have literally changed my life ✨
