Huge shoutout to our Exeter Session Manager & Guitar Tutor James and the incredible Chantelle for absolutely smashing it headlining Electric Nights in Tiverton last night 🎸✨

One thing we love at CMG is that our tutors and team are actively working in the industry — performing, creating, producing and inspiring the next generation through real-world experience every single week.

It was also amazing to see a former student now performing professionally in her own right on the lineup too — exactly what it’s all about 🙌

The team had an amazing time supporting the show and seeing such an incredible live performance. Thank you so much for inviting us along 💙

We’re excited for one of our young bands to be playing this awesome event later this month!

We are SO excited to unveil the full lineup for our Local Festival of Music for Youth featuring young musicians from schools and Hub-supported partners across Devon, Plymouth, and Torbay. All of the groups involved will receive feedback from MFY Mentors with the prospect of progressing to the National Festival later in the year. We’re looking forward to an epic day of music-making!

What an AWESOME first Open Jam of the year yesterday! 🤘
Huge shoutout to all the young musicians from Plymouth and Exeter — you were absolutely incredible. The energy, confidence, and creativity in the room was next level, and it was amazing to see so many new faces jumping up on stage and getting involved.

We had some brilliant band names making their debut too, including Shame, Caution Wet Patch, Undecided (and plenty more in the making 👀). Big riffs, big vocals, big vibes all round.

If yesterday was anything to go by, 2026 is going to be a HUGE year for our Open Jams.

The Rock Project Exeter Christmas Showcase & Awards Night at Bomba was an absolute marathon of talent — and we loved every second of it 🤘✨

Over 5 HOURS of live music, our students took to the stage with confidence, passion and serious musicianship, turning Bomba into a full-blown festive rock haven 🎶🔥

From blistering performances to emotional moments and 12 well-deserved awards handed out, it was an evening that truly showcased just how far these young musicians have come 🌟🏆

The commitment, bravery and energy from every student who performed was incredible — stepping on stage, owning it, and supporting each other every step of the way ❤️

We couldn’t be prouder if we tried 🤘

The students at The Rock Project Exeter have been belting out Audioslave and Red Hot Chilli Peppers in-between some competitive rounds of musical hangman.

Our students are always encouraged to pursue their interests, so this week we had a brilliant young sound engineer working on the sound and light throughout rehearsals for an upcoming gig. He was utterly brilliant! Well done!
