The Sanctuary Foundation will be hosting a special Great Big Live Assembly to celebrate Black History Month. It will be fast-paced, fun, and inspiring 10 minute event that focuses on 'Honouring Our Communities'.

It will highlight the everyday, often unseen contributions of Black individuals who shape, support, and sustain British society, recognising people such as volunteers, teachers, NHS nurses, carers, and community leaders who hold communities together.

Our Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Justice (EDIJ) support network returns on 23rd September.

This session will explore not only how we create vision, but how we sustain it in our schools and communities.

We're delighted to announce the appointment of Rev’d Tandy Ruoff and Vicky Burton as Location Leads for FLOURISH, an innovative The Church of England project creating new worshipping communities in educational settings across Devon.

Church and Project leaders, teachers and school staff from across the city met on Sunday evening to pray for Exeter and surrounding places, for Education Sunday.

The event which was led by One for Exeter Education team included a message from The Bishop of Exeter, who reminded education is fundamentally about being changed for the better. Bishop Mike talked about "formation, moral formation and personal formation" creating a space that is "decent, respectful and honouring."

Sharon Blyth, Children & Families Mission Enabler, said, "I went away smiling and full of hope for the future. It is so encouraging to realise how God is at work in all our schools. I know, as a former teacher, that it is much easier to walk into a classroom seeing the learners through Jesus' eyes!"
