On Tuesday, Mr Toghill and Mr Claridge took a delegation of Year 5 children to the 2026 ACE COP climate event that was held at the University of Exeter.
Children from all 20 ACE schools were in attendance and listened to important climate messages from guest speakers. We learnt about plastic waste, biodiversity and the importance of saving energy.
They worked together in groups to create climate pledges that our schools will adhere to in order to help create a more sustainable future.
Our children were fantastic: their behaviour and contributions were exemplary.
A greener future for St Gabriel's.

Pine Class have been busy creating their own hanging baskets as part of our learning on flourishing, growth and responsibility. The children carefully planted and arranged the flowers, learning how to care for living things and understand what plants need to thrive. Over the coming weeks, they will take responsibility for watering and looking after the baskets, helping to brighten our school environment while watching their hard work grow and bloom.

Their behaviour was excellent, and they represented the school amazingly from start to finish. Well done to everyone involved!
