Academic Year 25/26 - That’s a wrap 🎬
On behalf of all of the staff- thank you for everything this year- your support means the world to us and such a strong school community makes a huge difference to the lives of all of the children!
We go again next year with even more learning experiences, more fun and more memories to be made.
In the meantime- we wish you all a very well deserved summer break! Rest, relax, refresh and we look forward to seeing you all soon!

This could be their biggest project yet- immortalising Mr. Hookway at the front of school!

It’s over and out for 2026! We say goodbye to some absolute stars of the classroom! They have had an awesome final day. Following on from the guard of honour this morning, Mr. Hookway had a special assembly where we celebrated his amazing teaching career here and thanked him for everything he has done for NSC.
This afternoon, Year 6 had their leaver’s assembly and it was a great chance to share some fond memories of their time here at school! Thank you to everyone who came this afternoon!

We have one more goodbye today and this person has been the heartbeat of the school for 9 years - Mr. Hookway!
Hookway as he is favourably known and chanted by most children has taught across the school and inspired many children to achieve great things. He has a real passion for sport and has been instrumental in many of the school's successes.
Yesterday, we hosted a Hookway vs afternoon where he went against the whole school in a variety of sporting activities. From penalty shootouts against class 3 to tug of war against reception. As well as tennis ball bouncing, basketball hoops, standing on 1 leg and javelin throws he was put through his paces and narrowly came out on top!
He is going to be greatly missed and we wish him all the best at Thorverton from next year!

There are a few more year 6 children who complete this year's leavers who do not feature on FB. We wish them all the best and thank them for everything they have offered to NSC. They have been invaluable members of a great year 6 team and we will miss them very much!

Jade is next up and has also been with us since reception! She has been a fabulous member of NSC and leaves with great friendships and great memories. Jade is another fabulous role model and someone who everyone looks up to! She has been awesome in the classroom and on the tag rugby team as well and we know she will be awesome as she moves on from NSC. Good Luck Jade!

Charlie is next up and completes the hat-trick of Hawards to leave the school. Charlie has been with us since nursery and has loved his time here at NSC. A fabulous footballer and sports person in general, Charlie has worn the school shirt with pride and leaves with very fond memories. He has a great growth mindset and has worked equally as hard in the classroom. Good Luck for your future adventures Charlie.

What can we say about Posy? The 1-2-0 Fast-Nidge. She has been a superstar of the classroom, running track, stage and sports pitches. Posy has excelled at NSC and we are so proud of her achievements. Her attainment results were some of the highest we have seen and she always had a smile on her face! We KNOW she will be a superstar and we cannot wait to hear about her successes!

When we want some glamour thrown into the NSC mix, there is only one person we can call upon - Marla!
Marla is a superstar and if she is not doing some dance moves, she is working super hard in class. Marla has been a fabulous member of the school and we are so excited to see what she can achieve as she moves on to bigger and better things! The West End may be calling so keep an eye out for her in years to come!
