🌟 Year 5 Residential Update 🌟
We’re pleased to share that all of the children arrived safely yesterday and settled in really well. They enjoyed their packed lunches together before heading off in their groups for their first activities.
In the evening, everyone came back together for dinner before heading out again for a traversing activity - lots of smiles and great teamwork on display!
This morning, the children have had breakfast and are currently out enjoying their first activity of the day. They are all in great spirits and making the most of the experience.
Apologies for the delay in updating - staff on the residential had hoped to share updates via the school phone, but the signal on site hasn’t been very good. We’ll continue to update you as and when we can!

Our new sensory room is coming along beautifully and we couldn’t be more excited to see it taking shape. A huge thank you to The Beacon Community Centre for generously donating the equipment and to Mrs Cook for her incredible hard work and dedication in bringing this space to life. This space will offer calm, comfort and support to so many of our pupils - a truly meaningful addition to our school.

Year 3 had the best time at the Devon County Show yesterday! From animals to crafts to hands‑on activities, they loved every moment.
We even had members of the public compliment their excellent manners - such a proud moment for Willowbrook School.

That’s a wrap on our Spring Term!
What an incredibly busy and joyful few months it’s been - from celebrating World Book Day to getting creative with Easter crafts and ending with our fantastic KS2 concert. We’ve had exciting school trips and it was lovely seeing so many families during our parents’ evenings. The children have embraced every moment with enthusiasm and pride.
Wishing everyone a restful and well‑deserved break. We’re already excited for all the adventures the Summer Term will bring!

Red Nose Day - This Friday! 🔴
A quick reminder that we’ll be celebrating Red Nose Day in school this Friday!
As mentioned in last week’s newsletter, children are invited to come in wearing something funny for money or something red to join in the fun.
We are suggesting a £1 donation, which will go directly to supporting Comic Relief.
We also have a special Red Nose Day menu (please see attached photo for details).

📢 Primary School Applications Close This Thursday! 📢

A reminder that applications for Primary School places close on Thursday 15th January.

If you haven’t yet decided on a school, we are holding a final group visit to our Reception classes this Wednesday 14th January at 10am. We’d be delighted to show you the wonderful things happening in Reception and help you get a sense of what Willowbrook School is all about.
