An exceptionally personal post but today I get to be a proud mum not just a proud tutor. That sassy 16-year old who manipulates sarcasm like noone, a free spirit who takes no prisoner and that I’m lucky to call my daughter absolutely smashed her GCSES! She’s off to live her musical theatre dream and will be studying performing arts so Reigate College watch out for that little ball of fire 🔥🔥🔥

Today for many 16-year olds is a very stressful day. A day, which for them, will decide what they can or cannot do after their secondary school years. Will they be able to attend their chosen 6th form or college? Does it mark the end of their education days if they chose work or an apprenticeship over the more traditional path of “shut up, sit down and study more and harder”??? Today will seem like the beginning and end of everything for many. The reality however, now that I am reaching the grand old age of 50 and hoping to be somewhat a bit wiser, it’s that life is what you make of it. It’s not a diploma that’s gonna turn you into this magical adult you want to become. Life is NOT a linear path. It is even more true today. You’re going to meet people, make decisions along the way that will lead you to change careers and jobs several times over your lifetime. It’s not failure, it’s growth and adaptability. Your GCSES are only a tiny part of your life. A sort of key that opens your first path but there will be so many more along the way. The world is your oyster! So today you may or may not get the results you want… but I strongly believe in fate and whatever is meant to be will be. So think today of a path that opens and which opportunity opens up to you even if it’s not what you hoped for. Be open minded, trust in yourself and your ability to be flexible and open to whatever the world has in store for you 🥰

For the first time in close to 10 years I have decided to take a week off where I’m not actually working while on holiday 😱For those who know me it’s a bit of a shocker! So I shall bombard you with pictures of Majorca and cocktails by the pool instead of the usual French grammar nonsense 😜😁
