Since celebrating The Queen’s jubilee last month, the little ones (2 year olds) have been obsessed with learning about Her Majesty and kept asking me to take them to the Queen’s castle!
So today…we did just that!! We took a little day trip to Windsor Castle! We spent our time exploring the grounds, visiting the state apartments, observing the guards and taking it all in! We sat on the carpet in every single room, took the time to look up at the ceiling, notice the different details on the carpets in each room, look at the paintings on the walls and the newly displayed photographs or Her Majesty.
The kiddies were fascinated by the magnitude of the rooms, all the sparkly items in the castle, the coats of arms and how big the towers were!! They got to see the Queen’s special chair (the Throne room) and made plans on where they were going to sit for tea around the massive dining table 😍😂
They kept asking why the Queen wasn’t coming out to see us, and where she goes when all the people are in her house?
But the highlight of the day, was seeing the Queen’s coronation gown and jewellery which went on display today! The dress was gorgeous, with beautiful flowers and ‘so sparkly Rara’ and ‘look it’s soooo long Rara’ 😍
I’ve never felt more accomplished and proud in this job as I was today! Two 2 year olds and a 4 year old with me, we got countless compliments from staff, tourist, school teachers and police officers about how good the kiddies were and how lovely it was to see them so interested 😍
