Orchards Cookery is well known and has a great reputation for training Chalet Cooks. Designed for school leavers and under graduates who are about to move away from home and cook for themselves for the first time. The course is intensive and each fun packed day concludes with a dinner party. Will boost your confidence and develop your culinary skills and knowledge of cooking, giving you the ability and inspiration to create masterpieces in your own kitchen for family and friends. The Duke of Edinburgh’s Gold Award, Residential Project - The above courses (Five Day and Two Week) all meet the requirements for the Residential Project for the Duke of Edinburgh’s awards scheme. Corporate Days – One Day or Two Day. Whether for team building, or just a fun day out to reward staff for their hard work, Corporate Cooking Days are a brilliant way to get staff, or clients, to mix with each other and work in teams while having lots of fun at the same time. One Day & Two Day Courses – The emphasis is on Dinner Parties with no stress; delicious , quick and easy recipes using fresh , home grown (wherever possible) to make impressive dishes that are truly scrumptious! LODGE COOK WANTED - ISLE OF MULL - SCOTLAND - 3rd - 10th October to cook for a party of 7 guests at a beautiful 'off grid' private family lodge. Menu planning, shopping, laying up and clearing (with help from guests) cooking breakfasts, piece (packed) lunches and dinners. Relaxed group happy to consider any Orchards trained cook confident of their abilities. An organised cook will have plenty of time to explore the surrounds and island during the day. Car driver with own car essential, cook welcome to bring a friend for company (or to share job) and join in with meals as part of party etc. Pay depending on experience and accom provided in cooks own cottage 1 mile from lodge. Cooking breakfasts, lunches and dinners, shopping, keeping kitchen tidy, some driving (so full clean driver's licence). Accom / travel / salary / season pass clothing. Christmas week off. An amazing opportunity for a hard working Orchards cook who is a team player and happy to cook simple tasty food for numbers with opportunity to be involved with top ski athletes. COOK WANTED - South of France Nr CAHORS - 14th -25th September 2026 Helping with shopping, menu planning, laying up keeping kitchen tidy etc. Cooking 3 meals a day for 6-8 Adults using local produce. Simple breakfasts, fresh fruit, croissants etc, light salad type lunches and dinners. Lovely job for a family holiday for a family who have previously had various Orchards trained cooks. Travel to and from, own Accom for cook, in separate bothy. Ideal for a former Orchards trained chalet cook or someone with similar villa/ sporting lodge cooking experience Care driver helpful but not essential.
