What another fantastic week at Rowan’s Holiday Camps! 🌟

🐞 Our Little Berries campers explored the fascinating world of bugs, insects and butterflies through hands-on crafts and activities in the continuous provision before heading outside to build an obstacle course and tell stories on The Glen 🦋📚

🌎 Year 1 & 2 children travelled the globe at our World Festivals Multi-Activity Camp, discovering celebrations from Africa, Oceania and Asia through creative crafts, dance routines, and lots of playtime in The Spinney 🎆🎊

🎨 At Art Camp, pupils in Years 3-6 created two original pieces of artwork each day, drawing inspiration from renowned artists and movements including Hokusai, Van Gogh and David Hockney 🖼️ 🎨

🏅 Over at Oaken Lane Sports Ground, our Multi-Sport Camp enjoyed two action-packed days, developing skills in sports such as tennis and hockey before putting them into practice through games and matches 🎾 🏑

It has been wonderful to welcome so many siblings and girls who will be joining Rowan in September to camp this week. Our camps are a fantastic way for children to make new friends, build confidence and become familiar with the school environment ahead of starting a new term ❤️💚

What a fantastic first week of Rowan’s Summer Holiday Camps! ☀️

We welcomed some new faces to our ever-popular Little Berries Camp for Preschool and Reception children at Rowan Brae! It was a pleasure to see new friendships blossom through play, exploration and our continuous provision as our Early Years team brought together families from across the extended Rowan community 👦🏼🧒🏽👦🏻🧒🏼👧🏾

Down at our Hinchley Wood Sports Ground, children in Years 1-6 enjoyed an action-packed four-day ACB Football Coaching Football Camp, developing new skills, building confidence and playing plenty of fun game ⚽️

Meanwhile at Rowan Hill, Mrs Broadbent and Mrs Sheppard inspired creativity at Art Camp, where the girls explored different artists, techniques and mediums. They even took their artwork outdoors to the beautiful Spinney in the glorious sunshine 🎨

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us this week. We’re taking a short break before returning for another exciting week of camps starting Monday 3 August. We can’t wait to see lots of you there! ❤️💚

Our Rowan Hill Awards Ceremony was a joyful celebration of effort, achievement and the incredible girls who make our school such a special place. From academic success to acts of kindness, resilience and determination, every award recognised not just what our girls have accomplished, but who they are becoming.

We were delighted to welcome back former Rowan pupil Danya Griver as our guest speaker. Reflecting on her time at Rowan, Danya shared how the school helped shape the person she is today, reminding our girls that the lessons learned here extend far beyond the classroom.

Our Headmistress also spoke about the power of teamwork, highlighting how the greatest achievements are rarely reached alone. Whether in the classroom, on the sports field or on the stage, it is by encouraging one another, celebrating each other’s successes and working together that we all go further.

Congratulations to all of our award winners, and to every girl who has embraced challenges, supported their friends and made this year one to remember. Here’s to another year of growing, achieving and thriving together. ✨

Sports Day 2026 was one to remember! 💚❤️💛💜

Every girl from Recpetion to Year 6 gave it her all in a day filled with teamwork and House spirit. We enjoyed record-breaking performances, personal bests and school records smashed, it was a day of incredible achievement from start to finish.

A huge thank you to our fantastic sports department, our wonderful families for cheering from the sidelines and everyone who helped to make the day so special. 🌟

Bonjour from the Somme! Our Year 6 girls are back from an unforgettable week in Northern France, staying at the beautiful Château du Broutel.

📖 The girls walked in the footsteps of history at the Thiepval Memorial and Albert Museum, gaining a powerful, first-hand sense of what life was like for soldiers during the Battle of the Somme.

⛪ In Amiens, they admired the stunning Notre Dame Cathedral and drifted through les Hortillonnages, the city’s famous floating gardens, by boat. A visit to a local snail farm even saw some brave girls trying the local delicacy — délicieux, apparently! 🐌

🎢 Bagatelle Theme Park brought the thrills, while a trip to Le Touquet let them practise their French at the market before relaxing on the beach.

🥄🔥 Back at the château, French animateurs kept the fun going with team games, mayonnaise-making, a campfire and a disco!

This trip gave the girls so much more than great memories. It built confidence, independence and curiosity, while bringing history and culture vividly to life beyond the classroom 💚❤️. Bravo, Year 6! 🎉

Places in our Preschool are filling up fast - and it’s easy to see why!

A caring, nurturing environment, the benefit of access to the facilities in our pre-prep, specialist teachers and extended wraparound care. We are also delighted to share that due to demand, girls are now able to join us after their 2nd birthday 🎈.

What a day of adventure, discovery and smiles! 🌟

A huge thank you to Friends of Rowan for treating our girls to a truly unforgettable Wonderful Wellbeing Day 💚❤️.

Our Brae girls were fascinated as they got up close and hands-on with an incredible collection of exotic reptiles from Darwin's Kingdom 🐍🦎, while our Hill girls proved that a little rain can’t stop the fun, enjoying an action-packed day at ChessingtonWorldOfAdventures 🎢✨.

Full of exciting encounters and thrilling adventures, it was a day full of laughter, learning and memories that will last a lifetime.
