We have been looking at the changes in season this week. We have been on an autumnal walk to gather leaves, acorns and pine cones and made beautiful autumn trees with paints, tissues paper and cling film.
We have been looking at different modes of transport- the children made their own rockets and we made a big one for us all to use! We have used the tunnels to test out cause and effect ideas!

We have had a lovely few weeks back at preschool. The children have been enjoying lots of activities and games. We have been using the cars to make patterns with paint, funnels to test which goes faster and making crowns in remembrance of Queen Elizabeth II.

Our vegetables are growing fast, we have been eating our mange tout and some strawberries for our snack. We are waiting for our tomatoes, cucumbers and apples to be ready to pick and eat. Our sunflowers keep growing and growing….as you can see. Some of the children think they may grow as high as the sky!! 🌻 🌻

We have been looking at Sea-life the past two weeks. What lives under the sea and what we can use to go on the sea! The children have made a fantastic display!

We have made some brilliant creations this week to celebrate the Queens Jubilee!
The children used paint and recycled card to make their castle and had lots of fun playing in it! 🏰
We made flags and bunting for our castle too!
We have made crowns and flags for our display and the Queen! 👑
The children have been having Tea Parties this weeks to celebrate with some yummy treats! 🤴 🇬🇧🇬🇧

Spring is here and we have been busy planting the seeds we have grown.
A huge thank you to Garsons for donating us plants- we have strawberries, tomatoes, cucumbers, courgettes, peppers and mange tout! The children have been excellent planting and watering them in our vegetable patch.

Spring is here! The children have made a beautiful display. We have started to plant our seeds ready to grow…watch this space to see what starts to grow…

We have had an exciting start to this half term. We have been looking at our different senses. The children enjoyed exploring our tuff tray with rose petals, rosemary, lavender and mint. We added water with orange and rose essence which they used to make perfume! We have had peppermint, orange and raspberry scents in our playdough too, looking at smells.
We had an exploring tray with different materials looking at what is soft, hard, smooth, bumpy and more to explore our touch.
We have had fun flipping pancakes on pancake day and eating them for snack!
