“Remember, remember the 5th of November" is a phrase most of us have heard, especially as Bonfire Night approaches. But where did it come from?
This memorable line recalls the 1605 Gunpowder Plot—a failed attempt by Guy Fawkes and his associates to blow up the Houses of Parliament in London. Ever since, the 5th of November has been celebrated with bonfires and fireworks across the UK! 🎆🧨
Once upon a time, fireworks were generally reserved for Bonfire Night and New Year’s Eve.
