👩‍🍳 WE’RE HIRING – AFTER-SCHOOL COOKING CLUB ASSISTANT 👨‍🍳
📍 Epsom, Surrey
🗓 2–3 afternoons per week
⏰ After-school hours – approximately 3:15pm–4:45pm, plus set-up and clearing away
Do you enjoy working with children and have a love of food and cooking?
Grow Cook Enjoy is looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and friendly person to join our team and help deliver our popular children’s after-school cooking clubs in and around Epsom.
🍕 What you’ll be doing
🥕 Helping to deliver fun, hands-on and educational cooking sessions
🧁 Supporting the lead teacher with groups of children and keeping everyone engaged
🧼 Helping children learn essential food hygiene and kitchen safety
🍴 Setting up equipment and ingredients before sessions
🧹 Helping with clearing away and cleaning after the club
😊 Creating a positive, encouraging and enjoyable environment for children
⭐ We’re looking for someone who:
• Has experience working with children
• Is enthusiastic, organised, reliable and confident
• Communicates well with both children and adults
• Enjoys food, cooking and encouraging children to learn
• Can work effectively as part of a small team
• Has a creative and adaptable approach
• Has their own transport – essential
Desirable, but not essential:
✓ DBS check
✓ Food Hygiene & Safety certificate
✓ First Aid training
✓ Safeguarding/Child Protection training
Training can be provided for the right candidate.
This could be a great role for a teaching assistant, childcare worker, nursery practitioner, cookery enthusiast, student or someone experienced in working with children who is looking for flexible part-time afternoon work.

Job Title: After School Cooking Club Teacher

Hours: 2-3 afternoons per week, 4-6 hours per session (flexible)

About the Role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic helper for our popular after-school cooking club. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in our after school club 3.15pm-4.45pm

Key Responsibilities:

Help to deliver fun and educating cooking sessions
Maintain a clean kitchen and teach kids essential food hygiene and safety.
Support the lead teacher managing groups of children and keeping them engaged.

Experience working with children
DBS (desirable)
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Passion for food and a strong understanding of child development.
Food hygiene and safety certification (desirable).
Experience working with children in a group setting.
Creative and adaptable teaching style.
First Aid and Child Protection training (desirable).
Transport essential.
