Last day of the school holidays

Siena’s class is closed for two weeks, as is my childminding business. We’re making the best of it, and getting ready for our version of ‘home schooling’ which is just to encourage Siena’s passions, with as much reading and number play throw in as possible! First stop, stock up Siena’s science kit. This caddy has been so inspiring for Siena, since December it’s been a playdoh kit, craft kit, sewing kit and now Science kit. An idea gleaned from it has always been an easy way to encourage Siena to explore her current interests, although that changes from week to week! Is anyone else’s child like that?! I also rearranged the toy cupboard so all the educational games are at the front, so they won’t be forgotten over the next 2 weeks. Wish me luck!

Easter holidays over. Our Activity board is filled in ready for the day ahead. Siena has requested Peter Pan this week. I will be childminding 1 key worker child after school Wednesday- Friday. It’s not the full company we’re used to, but it’s nice to have some sense of normality
