Year 9 spent day 4 of their trip in Liverpool. They visited The Beatles Story and the British Music Experience, exploring how British music has shaped culture and identity over time, getting hands on with instruments and even trying out some dance moves!

In the afternoon, a tour of Anfield Stadium gave them a look behind the scenes of one of the country’s most iconic football clubs.

A fantastic day linking music, culture and football to the making of modern Britain.

Day 3 on the Year 9 trip saw students hike across the site of the 1932 Kinder Scout trespass, seeing where access to the countryside became a national issue and helped shape public rights of way. Back at the hostel, the Great Big Quiz of the Week brought the competition. They finished the day at Akbar’s Indian restaurant, where the naan breads were as big as the tables!

On day 2, Year 9 visited The People’s History Museum looking at how ordinary people shaped democracy, rights and working life over time. After lunch and a short drive to Quarry Bank Mill, we saw how cotton mills drove the Industrial Revolution and how factory life changed society. Many a good question was asked by the children and they were given a yarn of cotton as a momento. Back to the hostel for dinner and games.

Goodbye, Passo del Tonale

From early mornings in ski boots to laughing on chairlifts, frozen fingers, tired legs, and memories we’ll never forget.
This school ski trip gave us falls, progress, friendships, and way too many jokes.

Thank you for the snow, the views, and the moments that turned classmates into a little ski family.
Until next time… Passo de Tonale, you’ll always have a piece of us.
