Our pupils were treated to a very special Greek music assembly as we welcomed our Peripatetic Music Teacher, Sooty, and her brother, Mike, an internationally renowned bouzouki player, to share the joy of traditional Greek music.

Following the assembly, Mike and Sooty led an inspiring workshop for our GCSE Music pupils. As Greek music forms part of the GCSE Music syllabus, it was an invaluable opportunity for students to learn first-hand about the instruments, playing techniques, song structure, and harmonies that make the genre so unique. Mike even taught the pupils a basic bouzouki chord and shared insights from his experiences as a professional musician.

A huge thank you to Sooty and Mike for sharing their incredible talents and passion for music. It was a wonderful reminder of music's ability to bring people together. 🎵

Creativity was in full flow in Upper Kindergarten Cambridge as the children worked together to create their very own castle! 🏰

Using boxes and masking tape, they designed and built an impressive model complete with towers, walkways, cannons and even an engine. Once their masterpiece had been painted and left to dry, the children used their wonderful imaginations to bring it to life through storytelling and role play.

Every child happily joining in to create something truly special.

Coopersale Hall School is delighted to announce an exceptional set of GCSE results for its 2026 cohort, the first to sit GCSEs in the newly opened senior school.

Paul Wilson, Headteacher, said:
“As the first cohort to receive GCSE results at Coopersale Hall School, I could not be prouder of these remarkable young people. Their success is the result of sustained hard work, resilience and determination, and these outcomes reflect not only what they achieved, but how far they progressed during their time with us.

This is a small year group, and we know each pupil as an individual. Watching them grow in confidence, character and academic achievement has been a privilege, making today's celebrations all the more meaningful.”

Results at a Glance
50% of all grades were awarded at 9-7, including 32% at grades 9-8.
98% of all grades were awarded at 9-4.
100% of pupils achieved grade 5 or above in both English and Mathematics

Every subject except one achieved a 100% pass rate at grades 9-4, including:
Art, English Language, English Literature, Geography, History, Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Spanish, Combined Science, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

Particular congratulations go to Susannah, Scarlet, Riana, Taara and Seetal, all of whom have every reason to be proud of their achievements.

These outstanding outcomes reflect Coopersale Hall School's commitment to high expectations, small class sizes and a broad, ambitious curriculum. Above all, they demonstrate the value of an educational approach in which every pupil is known as an individual, supported to flourish and challenged to achieve their very best.

The children in Year 5 and 1 came together to enjoy the story Room on the Broom by Julia Donaldson. The pupils thoroughly enjoyed listening to the rhyming language and took time to recall the order of the animals that joined the ride on the broom.

Year 5 pupils then took on the role of directors, guiding the storytelling, while the pupils in 1S re-enacted the events from the story. The children worked collaboratively, developing their communication skills and demonstrating their understanding of the tale as they brought it to life through drama.

Activities such as these help to strengthen relationships between year groups and provide valuable opportunities for children to build confidence, communication skills, and teamwork.
