We would like to introduce you to, new to the Landmead instructional team, Dan Cloran. He has only been flying with us for a week, but fits in the team extremely well and also manages to put his students at ease.
Dan was working as a musician when he took his first flying lesson in the late 90s at Barton airfield near Manchester and completed his PPL at Blackpool airport.

He flew as a PPL before he began a new career as a police officer joining Thame's Valley Police and moving south. Whilst working as a musician and during his time in the police Dan developed a keen interest in mentoring and teaching so decided to combine his love of flying with his interest in teaching and become a flying instructor.

Dan qualified as an instructor four years ago and has instructed around the Oxfordshire area during that time. Dan really enjoys taking time with people and finding the best way to teach them and get the best from them even if traditional methods approving ineffective. Dan is adept at teaching people from diverse backgrounds and taking the time to understand and enjoy what they are doing!!

Dan is first and foremost a career flying instructor and his main aim is to help as many people as possible achieve their dream.

When not flying Dan is a keen motorcycle rider who enjoys visiting the same airfields by motorbike that he has visited by air with his students! He's also an experienced guitar teacher and a reptile fantatic. He and his wife Vicky adopt rescue lurchers and greyhounds and have two rescue lurchers: Luna and Woofy. As well as three lovely pet pythons and an evil tortoise called Fernando!
