When you start something new, it can seem overwhelming.
I get it. Especially when you get SOOOOO much with The SMASH Way.
However, in a couple of weeks you will be totally smashing it and everything will become second nature to you.
Think about the first time you got into a car to learn to drive.
I bet it was terrifying. I still remember my first time. I held onto the steering wheel so tightly I was afraid to let go. And then I had to move pedals, change gears, look in mirrors, use the handbrake!!
I never thought I would be able to do it easily. But with practice, I got better and it became easy and then second nature.
The same happens when you start The SMASH Way.
Initially, you will be “OMG, I have to cook a recipe????”. You have to weight out ingredients and it can seem like a huge task, but once you make your recipes a couple of times, you will learn your favourites and cooking The SMASH Way will become 2nd nature to you and then just the way that you live.
Things can always seem complicated at the start, but with support and guidance and a safe space for you to ask questions, you can excel.
Don’t be afraid of starting something new and different. It could be the best decision you ever make.

The power of consistency is huge!!
What you consistently do, will give you the results that you deserve. Think about it.
If you consistently eat health food and live a healthy lifestyle you will get the results linked to that.
If you consistently over eat ultra processed foods, don't exercise and drink lots of alcohol, you will get the results linked to that as well.
Whatever you choose to do on a regular basis, will manifest in your life. It cannot happen any other way. If you want a different outcome, you need to choose a different action.
The reason I am telling you all this is because consistency plays a huge role in your long term health and well-being.
It is not a quick fix or gimmick that does the job of keeping you healthy.
It's consistently eating a healthy diet, doing some form of exercise/movement that you love, sleeping well, stressing less and giving your body what it needs.
In other words - it's living life

Are you craving rubbish food? Do you know why?
It’s not lack of willpower or that you are a failure.
Something happening to you internally and it is important to understand what is going on.
There are 10 main reasons why you crave foods
1. Gut imbalance - if you have an overgrowth of bad bacteria that crave sugar, you will crave sugar.
2. Lack of sleep - if you don’t sleep well, studies have shown that you are more likely to crave an extra 300 calories a day - and you will crave carby foods for that instant hit of energy
3. The last food that you ate - if it was highly processed or nutritionally deficient, your body will trigger hunger to make you eat again in the hope that you give your body the nutrients that it needs in order to function properly. If your last meal, spiked your blood sugars, you are more likely to crave food quickly after it too.
4. Your energy expenditure - many try to lose weight by increasing their exercise levels and cutting back on their food. That is fine, in the short term, but it is not in the long run. Your body needs food. Make sure you fuel it well or you will crave.
5. Female hormones - if your hormones are out of balance or you are not eating in accordance to your monthly cycle, you will end up craving certain foods at a certain time of the month.
There are 5 more reasons why you are craving foods that you need to be aware of.
