A few evenings talking maths… and look what happened! 👀💙❤️💛

I’ve just finished a series of parent workshops at St Martins PS Garrison helping to bridge that familiar gap between “the way we were taught” and the maths our children bring home today. 😅

We talked healthy homework habits, building confidence at home and, most importantly, got parents doing the maths themselves!

From Foundation Stage right through to KS2, there was plenty of building, exploring and problem solving — with times tables and fractions naturally making an appearance! 😂

And Connectrio proved rather popular…

So popular, in fact, that St Martin’s has invested in it for the whole school! 🙌

Nothing better than finishing a series of parent workshops knowing the conversations and Primary NumeraSee hands-on maths activities are going to continue long after I’ve left.
💙❤️💛

Happy Classroom Assistant Day! 🌟

Today, we would like to recognise and celebrate our fantastic classroom assistants who play such an important role within our school community.

Our classroom assistants are at the heart of school life, supporting pupils and staff in countless ways each day.

The difference you make is seen and felt every day by our pupils, colleagues and families alike.

Thank you for the care you show, the relationships you build and the positive impact you make on the lives of our pupils each and every day.

Happy Classroom Assistant Day, and thank you for everything you do!
