Best of luck to Dayna who will get to experience playing in Croke Park today, during the half time game between Limerick and Clare. What a fantastic representative Dayna will be for St Ronan’s PS and Lisnaskea Emmetts. We hope you enjoy every minute!

And with that, we say one final goodbye to all our boys and girls from Primary 7- the class of 2026! It has been the pleasure and the privilege of St. Ronan’s Primary and Nursery School to welcome them through our doors, each morning, for the last 8 years. Their next schools are the lucky recipients of kind, polite and hard-working individuals who are ready to embrace their next step. They have been excellent role models for our younger pupils and have set the bar high for those who follow. We wish them all the luck in the world and look forward to hearing of their future successes. 🔴🟢🔴🟢

Last Thursday, we held our first family quiz night for our P7 families in the Parish Centre. The hall was completely packed and all families added to a lovely, warm atmosphere.

Twenty five wonderful families fought it out over 105 questions. There was questions designed for all family members from age 4 to 94! Every member of every team played their part at some stage during the evening.

The P7 pupils showed a great commitment to and enthusiasm for quizzing throughout the year as they participated in the Credit Union Schools Quiz, Road Safe NI Quiz and the Cumann na mbunscol Quiz. Well done boys and girls! Please continue building, sharing, and testing your knowledge through quizzing in the future.

It was a very competitive quiz with over 20 tables achieving 80 marks or more. Answers ranged from incredibly well thought-out to absolutely hilarious! Well done to our winners, the McGirr family, who have been St. Ronan’s stalwarts for generations now!

Such events are not possible without the help of so many magnificent individuals and for that we say thank you to:

- Sean Markey and Brian McCabe for their crowd entertainment and for announcing the questions
- Mr. Grew, Ms. McDermott, and Ms. Elliott for their quick marking!
- Mr. Hanna for his scorekeeping and updates throughout
- Ms. Crawford, Ms. Woods, and Mrs. Teague for ensuring all answer sheets were accounted for and for ensuring everyone was well fed and watered!
- Our PTFA for providing food and balloons, and for sorting some lovely raffle prizes
- Carol-Ann for making up some delicious refreshments
- Encirc, The Silver Dollar, Goan’s, Cherry Tree, Delta, Lisnaskea Enterprise Centre (Maria McKenna), and Durnien’s Fruit and Veg for their very generous donations
- All the parents and family members who helped with the set-up and clean-up
- Our amazing P7s who have inspired us each and every day

Thank you everyone and have an enjoyable summer!

A fun filled day in Peter Pan Neverland for the P4/5 pupils today! Many thanks to all the helpful staff and especially to our own school staff. Good behaviour from all the pupils ensured a fun, safe day for everyone. I think the children will all sleep tonight without any bother!
