Thatβs a wrap on our first summer camp of 2026! π
A huge well done to all our students. Over three days you took on micro:bit projects, including using radio to send and receive signals between devices, drove and programmed Cutebot robots, and built retro games in MakeCode Arcade πΉοΈ
You also got stuck into Python, using the turtle module to draw and create with code, and explored Minecraft Education, where you programmed the Agent to build houses for you automatically π’
The energy, the focus, and the creativity in the room were something to see - every one of you pushed yourselves further and it showed ππΌ

Summer Camp Day 2! πΉοΈ
Genuinely impressive work today from this group - multi level games, extensive play testing, team work, and even some new features we havenβt seen before (using 2 arcade consoles together to send radio messages from one game to another π€―)
Finishing off tomorrow with some Python, Minecraft Education, and a showcase of what weβve built this week ππΌ

π€ Brilliant sessions today!
The focus was getting everyone confident with downloading their code onto micro:bits - and we kept things varied to make it stick.
Students worked with retro arcade handheld controllers, programmed Cutebots, and then it all built up to a proper race using our brand-new PU robots. The energy in the room was fantastic.
Great work and real enthusiasm from start to finish π
