School Mass
Yesterday, Monday 21st September, we celebrated our annual school mass to ask for God's blessings on the school year ahead and to give thanks for all that we have. Our mass celebrated the 800th Jubilee of St Francis of Assisi. St Francis preached kindness to all living things and had a commitment to peace. It was a wonderfully peaceful occasion. We were proud of each one of our young people who took part in the ceremony. Thank you to all our parents, grandparents and family members who joined us yesterday and a special word of thanks to Fr Raymond for celebrating mass with us.

Congratulations to our Fiadhnait on sharing her talents at this event

Yesterday some of the vocal students and tutor Laura Browne McCaffrey had the pleasure of performing at a wonderful event “EQUORIA” at the beautiful Lough Erne Resort. The Equoria XP brand is an innovative business venture and digital initiative founded by CEO Shelley Cowan also known as "The Purple Lady", she is an inspiring disability rights campaigner, international keynote speaker, and tech entrepreneur from Enniskillen, Northern Ireland. Her career is deeply rooted in her remarkable personal story of resilience and her mission to build a more inclusive, universally accessible world. At the event there was a primary focus on speakers from Tech Found Her and women in leading industry fields finding their voice.

As guests arrived for the EQUORIA launch the students sang an array of Disney and musical theatre songs about finding hope, light, advocating for change, wishing, dreaming big and the desire to climb mountains in the face of adversity which was absolutely perfect for the event.

Well done to our vocal students attending and performing at such a positive and uplifting programme and representing the school at such an inclusive event.

Next Thursday 24th September we invite the families of our new Year 8 pupils to join us in the Assembly Hall for our annual coffee morning to raise funds for Macmillan, a cause so close to many of our hearts. There will be a musical treat delivered by the Year 8 pupils themselves. Any donation to the charity will be most welcome.
