P6R are tired 😴 and a little damp 🌧️ after an exciting morning exploring the Martello Tower at Magilligan Point, followed by a visit to Downhill to see Bishop’s Gate and Mussenden Temple 🏛️.
Despite the weather, spirits remained high —and we even caught a glimpse of a passing train 🚂, with the driver kindly sounding the horn 📣 as we waved 👋!
Hopefully, the last few days have created lasting memories for all of P6, along with plenty of learning 📚 and new experiences along the way.

Day 1 of our P6R Magilligan trip.
We didn’t let the damp weather hold us back! We enjoyed a ferry crossing to Greencastle, where we explored the rock pools and discovered some fascinating molluscs and crustaceans.
Afterwards, everyone had some free time around the centre before heading to Benone Beach for a lovely, relaxing evening. One highlight was when some of the girls attempted to bury Mr Robson in a huge hole they had dug—but thankfully, he made a full and safe escape! 😊 Now for a quiet night watching a movie before bed.

We then continued on to Downhill Demesne, visiting Bishop’s Gate, the dovecote, and the surrounding grounds. A brilliant day of discovery and fresh air for all. All exhausted pupils on their way home!

Yesterday, we proudly hosted our traditional Enniskillen Model Primary School Rugby Tournament at Celtic Park. It was fantastic to have teams from Ballinamallard Primary, Lisbellaw Primary, The Moat, Jones Memorial Primary, as well as our own school, competing in matches that showcased excellent skill, teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the day.
Congratulations to Model Primary School on their well-deserved victory, and to The Moat for finishing as worthy runners-up.
Congratulations to Jones Memorial Primary for winning the Shield Competition and to Ballinamallard for winning the Whittaker Award for most skill on display and sportsmanship as judged by our referees.
A sincere thank you to Eddie Keys for coordinating such a successful event, and to our referees Enda Love, Henry Keys, Josh Hicks, Karla Crozier, and Rob Watson for their professionalism and expertise.
A special thank you to Gwyneth Blair for securing funding from Asda Community Champions for our goodie bag treats, greatly appreciated by all players.
It was also wonderful to have Tommy Dane, President of Enniskillen Rugby Club, present the medals and help mark a memorable day for everyone involved.

P6S Magilligan trip - day 1.
What an amazing start to our trip. We were treated to a lovely dry day, which made everything even better.
We headed off to Greencastle on the ferry and spent some time rock pooling, discovering all sorts of little sea creatures. After that, we made our way to Magilligan Point where everyone collected different kinds of shells and created some brilliant shell art.
After tea, we rounded off the day with a fantastic evening at Benone Beach. The group played rounders and football, dug in the sand, and simply enjoyed being together by the sea.
A great day had by all.

On Monday, P6R officially launched their Pushkin Project exhibition at Enniskillen Library. The exhibition showcases the children’s journey throughout the project, where they carried out lots of learning opportunities, from creative writing to material collage work and data handling to paper mâché. The children presented their exhibition to family, friends, the public and the Chairman of The Pushkin Trust, David Bolton. He presented P6R with the Pushkin Project plaque. The exhibition will be hosted in Enniskillen Library until at least July so pop down and see the incredible work!
