Our Travel & Tourism and Business students are currently enjoying an incredible international placement at JOIA Bávaro by Iberostar, gaining first-hand experience in a world-class hospitality environment.
From supporting daily operations and learning from industry professionals to developing confidence, teamwork, and communication skills, students are putting their classroom learning into practice while experiencing a new culture and working alongside people from around the world.

South West College Erasmus+ CHASE Project coordinator Simon Wiggins attended the annual CHASE meeting held this year in PIVA college, Antwerp Belgium 🇧🇪

Our students are off to China 🇨🇳✈️🌏

Eight students from the Health, Life and Personal Sciences Department will be travelling to China this Saturday as part of the SWC Study China programme. During their visit, students will spend time in Beijing and Xi’an, connecting with partner schools, whilst also experiencing the rich history and culture of both cities.

The Study China 2026 trip has been supported through our valued international partnerships, including the Chinese Consulate office of Consul General Li Nan, helping to provide students with a unique global learning opportunity.

We wish them all a safe journey and an unforgettable experience!

Some more images of the Tri National Seminar held in Marburg Germany 🇩🇪. SWC Travel & Tourism and Business Management students worked in collaboration with their German and American counterparts studying the theme of ‘Community Responsibility’, in groups creating PowerPoint presentations on their research. Thankyou to Hotel und Touristik Fach und Berufsschulen in Marburg for hosting us 👍

Erasmus+ Staff Mobility
At beginning November SWC Enniskillen campus welcomed two science lecturers from Erasmus+ SIC Alme M. Karlin Slovenia 🇸🇮 on a job shadowing mobility.
During the visit lecturers observed Level 3 and Foundation Degree Science classes and took part in our annual Intercampus Analytical Day 🔬where students put their skills to the test in chromatography, titration, and colorimetry.

It was a pleasure to welcome both visiting lecturers to South West College and we trust they had a beneficial experience.
