On Monday the 16th & 23rd of November and Monday 7th December 2026 the Amaan association are hosting a workshop for all our year 10 students.

This is a fantastic opportunity for our students to learn about discrimination, identity and finding your voice. There will be 2 workshops and an assembly that will be delivered to all KS3.

In honour of European Day of Languages Mrs Cox set a European Idiom Challenge to all of our Form classes.

Their mission was to translate each idiom, guess the language and decide what the theme of the idioms was.

The Form classes responded with speed and efficiency, and we had lots of laughs along the way! They have discovered that in Portugal you might say "He/she has little monkeys in their attic", in Hungary it might be that "he/she doesn't have all four wheels", in Germany "he/she doesn't have all their cups in the cupboard" or in Romania "he/she is missing roof tiles".

There might be a few of them who are "a few sandwiches short of a picnic" but 10LG were the champs! Their team-work and accuracy was excellent and they were the worthy winners of our Idiom Challenge.

The SU club is starting up on Monday 28th September.

Junior SU will be held in Mr McKeown's room and the Senior SU will be held in Mrs Morrow's room.

What happens in SU?
We eat lunch, play games, discuss issues facing young people and what the bible has to say about it.

All students are welcome to join.

A few spaces have become available on the Fermanagh Young Leaders Forum, giving young people aged 17–25 one more opportunity to get involved in this exciting programme.

Running from September 2026 to April 2027, the programme offers a fantastic opportunity to develop leadership skills, build confidence and make a real difference in your local community.

Participants will:
✅ Develop leadership, teamwork and communication skills
✅ Gain a recognised OCN qualification in Community Development
✅ Build valuable experience for CVs, further education and employment
✅ Help identify key issues affecting young people
✅ Play a direct role in awarding grant funding to local projects
✅ Contribute to positive change in their community
