Set in the beautiful surroundings of Cavan Burren Park, this hands-on experience will introduce participants to the art of creating natural inks and handmade brushes using materials found in the landscape around us. Explore how plants and other natural materials can be transformed into vibrant pigments and artistic tools, while learning traditional techniques inspired by the natural world.
This creative and relaxing workshop is a wonderful opportunity to connect with nature, develop new skills, and experience the Geopark from a different perspective. Whether you’re an experienced artist or simply curious about nature-based crafts, you’ll leave with new knowledge, inspiration, and your own handmade creations.

What beautiful textile art created today in Cavan County Museum for of our native . Many thanks to Naomi, Biodiversity Officer with Cavan County Council for funding this free needle felting workshop and all the staff at the Museum for the lovely refreshments. Well done to all involved.
