🏑 A Fantastic Morning of Hockey in Omagh! 🏑
Our Year 7 girls and boys team had a brilliant time at our very first blitz organised by Ulster Hockey at Omagh Hockey Club.
It was a wonderful morning packed with action, with each of our teams taking part in 5–6 matches. It was a fantastic opportunity for all the pupils to develop their hockey skills, gain valuable game-play experience, and show off great teamwork on the pitch.
A huge thank you to Ulster Hockey for hosting such a well-run morning and giving our Year 7s a great taste of match play.
We’re already looking forward to our next blitz in November! 💫👏

A massive well done to Primary 7, who are this week's Class Cup Winners! 🎉👏

Throughout the week, P7 demonstrated exactly what it means to be Ready to Learn. They arrived prepared for the day, listened carefully, followed instructions, stayed focused during lessons and took great pride in their work and achievements.

Their positive attitude, excellent effort and determination to do their best each day made them worthy winners of this week's cup. 🌟

🌟 P6 & P7 Life Exhibition Visit 🌟

Yesterday, our P6 and P7 pupils had the wonderful opportunity to attend the Life Exhibition at Fermanagh Christian Fellowship.

The pupils worked their way through a series of engaging stations, exploring the life of Jesus and discovering what His life, death and resurrection mean to Christians around the world. ✝️

There was plenty of fun along the way too! The pupils enjoyed a lively quiz with Alistair McFarland from SUNI, before being treated to some well-deserved juice and biscuits. 🧃🍪

A huge thank you to Fermanagh Christian Fellowship for their warm hospitality and for putting on such a fantastic and engaging event for our pupils. We really appreciate the time and effort that went into making it such an enjoyable and meaningful experience for P6 and P7. 😊

🌍♻️ NEW SCHOOL YEAR, NEW ECO INITIATIVE! ♻️🌍

As we settle into a brand-new school year, what better time to start making a positive difference together?

This week is Recycle Week, so we’re excited to launch our first eco initiative of the year! 🌱

We’re joining SchoolCycled on a mission to collect bottle caps, turn them into tokens and work towards something amazing for our children.

Our target is to collect 24,000 earth tokens to help us purchase 8 new chairs for our Nursery and Foundation Stage children to enjoy during outdoor play!

So, to our families and friends of Kesh Primary School and Community Nursery, it’s time to start collecting! 💚

Every cap counts, and every contribution brings us closer to our goal.

Let’s make our first eco challenge of the year a brilliant one! 🌍✨

A brand new workshop but one I am very passionate about delivering... Holding It Together: Understanding After-School Restraint Collapse

“But they’re absolutely fine at school…”

Then they get home and everything seems to fall apart. As a parent you then start to question yourself..."What am I doing wrong??"

Meltdowns, shutdowns, tears, anger or struggling with the smallest of demands can sometimes be signs that a child has spent the whole day simply holding it together.

During the session we will explore:

- What After-School Restraint Collapse is and why it can happen
- The hidden effort involved in 'holding it together'
- Masking, sensory load, emotional regulation and accumulated demands
- Different presentations of overwhelm, including meltdowns and shutdowns
- Practical ways to create a more gentle transition from school to home
- Regulation and co-regulation strategies
- How home and school can work together to understand the whole child rather than viewing behaviour in isolation

This workshop is suitable for parents & carers, teachers, SENCOs, LSAs and other professionals working with children and young people. We will look beyond the behaviour we see and become curious about what may be happening underneath it.
