We have been very busy in 2C exploring our new topic, All About Me! We’ve been learning about what makes us special, our emotions and feelings and enjoying Jo Jingles, arts and crafts and cooking. 🎨🎶

We’ve also started our Autumn topic, enjoying our sensory story and our time at Forest School. 🍂

Today we had a special visit from the police and an ice cream van! 🚓🍦 It was a lovely opportunity to meet members of our local community and enjoy a very special treat! 💛

Family Fun Night 2026 - what a fantastic turn out !. It was wonderful to see so many of our pupils and their families coming together this evening and enjoying all the activities, fun and entertainment here at school. What a fantastic week we have had in 4C!

The children have been busy creating beautiful autumn artwork to be entered into the Feis. They showed great creativity, care and attention to detail, and we are so proud of the wonderful pieces they produced.

Throughout the week, we have also been working hard during our phonics sessions, building words and developing our sentence-writing skills.

In Home Economics, we have been practising our cutting skills by safely preparing a variety of fruits and making delicious fruit skewers. The children did an excellent job following instructions, handling equipment safely and trying different fruits.

One of the highlights of our week was our community outing. The children visited the Home Bargains café, where they independently ordered their own food and drinks, using their communication and social skills in a real-life setting. We then enjoyed browsing the shops, with pupils identifying items they would like to buy, reading price tags, comparing costs and discussing whether they had enough money for different purchases. The children practised important life skills such as budgeting, handling money, waiting patiently in queues, interacting politely with members of the public and developing their independence within the community. They were an absolute pleasure to take out and represented both themselves and our school superbly.

We are incredibly proud of every member of 4C for their hard work, enthusiasm and positive attitude this week.

✨ What a fantastic week in 2R! ✨

This week, 2R have been busy taking part in lots of exciting “All About Me” activities as we learn more about ourselves, our bodies, our families and the world around us. 💛
🎨 We got creative and created our very own self-portraits, looking carefully at our features and celebrating what makes each of us unique.
🍓 We made foody faces and had lots of fun exploring and trying some new flavours.
🧽 We developed our independence by helping with classroom jobs, including washing dishes and cleaning tables.
🏃‍♀️ We got our bodies moving and noticed how exercise makes our bodies change — from faster heartbeats to heavier breathing!
🔢 We explored numbers that are special to us, including our age, birthdays and the number of people in our families. We also had a go at some place value and number challenges.
🎶 We had lots of fun at Jo Jingles, exploring music, sounds, rhythm and movement.
🌳 We enjoyed Forest School, looking for signs of autumn. We spotted leaves changing colour and conkers falling from the trees. 🍂🌰
🎂 And, of finally, we had a very special celebration as we celebrated Joshua’s 11th birthday! 🎉
What a busy and wonderful week of learning, exploring, creating, developing independence and having fun together! Well done, 2R 🤩🌟
