What a lovely morning at Treetop Wednesdays! 🌳✨
The children enjoyed matching animals to their habitats, reading stories, joining in with rhymes and music, creating crafts, and having lots of bubble fun. Watching the bubbles dance and float away in the wind brought so many smiles and giggles. A wonderful outdoor session full of imagination, creativity and fresh air.

A really fun intergenerational play session ❤️
We enjoyed stories with Nicole, who was fantastic. It was such a lovely session filled with stories, rhymes, laughter and lots of smiles. The children always enjoy spending time with the residents and making special memories together.
Such a lot of fun painting our giant bee in the garden 🐝🎨 The children loved working together, exploring colours and getting creative outdoors in the sunshine.

Bee sand play 🐝
A lovely invitation to play. We talked about the bees buzzing around collecting nectar and taking it back to their beehive to make yummy honey. The children loved scooping, pouring and exploring together through sensory play.
The children enjoyed cutting their own paper into strips before sticking them onto a fresh sheet using glue sticks. Once dry, they had lots of fun adding red dots to create little ladybirds hiding in the grass. 🐞
This simple activity supported so much learning through play, including developing fine motor skills as the children practised cutting, sticking and carefully placing the dots. They also enjoyed adding spots and legs to their ladybirds, using their creativity and imagination throughout.
Yesterday we played a fun ladybird maths game using a dice and a tens frame. The children took turns throwing the dice, counting the dots together and adding the correct number of ladybirds or buttons to the tens frame. Some of the numbers the children were able to subitise straight away without needing to count!
We kept rolling the dice until the tens frame was full, counting carefully as we went. There was so much lovely maths language throughout the activity — talking about how many we had altogether, how many more we needed, and whether we had more or less.
The children really enjoyed repeating the game over and over again, building confidence with counting, number recognition and early problem solving through play.

This week at Little Adventures we started exploring bees 🐝🌼
The children have enjoyed bee themed playdough, trips to the park, re-reading our favourite stories and lots of fun songs and rhymes together.
We also enjoyed lovely playgroup sessions, a trip to the library and stories and crafts in the park. The children especially loved our ocean themed light table activity, picking up the “rubbish” and cleaning the ocean over and over again.
A fun way to help teach the children about caring for our planet and putting rubbish in the bin.
